Maintenance Manager

Role Description The Maintenance Manager is a part-time, hybrid role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work from home. This role oversees the maintenance and repair of facilities, equipment, and building systems to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for program participants, staff, and visitors. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and coordinating preventive maintenance schedules, supervising maintenance staff or contractors, and responding to urgent repair needs. The Maintenance Manager will inspect facilities regularly, identify improvement opportunities, manage maintenance records, and collaborate with leadership to prioritize projects and budgets. This role also ensures compliance with local safety and regulatory standards and supports mission events by coordinating facility readiness.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Maintenance Management skills, including planning, organizing, and overseeing facility and systems upkeep.Candidates should possess Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair skills to diagnose issues and ensure reliable operation of tools and building systems.Candidates should possess Preventive Maintenance skills to design and follow schedules that reduce downtime and extend asset life.Candidates should possess Supervisory Skills to lead maintenance staff or contractors, delegate tasks, and maintain high service standards.Relevant experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or a similar role, preferably in nonprofit, community, or mission-based environments.Working knowledge of safety regulations, basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC principles, and vendor coordination.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a hybrid setting.Ability to align with the mission’s faith-driven values and work respectfully with diverse backgrounds; technical certifications or trade qualifications are an advantage.
