Maintenance Manager -Ship Repair

Position Summary:We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager with a strong background in ship repair and marine engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations, ensuring efficient ship repair processes, and leading a team of technical personnel to maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Lead, plan, and manage the ship repair and maintenance operations for the company.Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance strategies to ensure vessel readiness and safety.Supervise and mentor a team of technicians, engineers, and support staff to achieve operational excellence.Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal departments to schedule and execute ship repair projects efficiently.Ensure compliance with marine safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.Prepare and monitor maintenance budgets, resource allocation, and reports on performance metrics.Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, reduce downtime, and optimize costs.Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.Minimum 7–12 years of experience in ship repair, shipbuilding, or marine maintenance.Proven track record in managing maintenance teams and operations in a marine or ship repair environment.Strong knowledge of ship systems, machinery, and repair techniques.Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.Familiarity with safety regulations, maritime compliance, and quality management systems.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
