You will handle the most challenging repairs on industrial recycling and heavy equipment, lead repair projects, mentor junior mechanics, and help keep equipment running at peak performance. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; advanced technical certifications are preferred. A valid driver's license is required, and candidates must pass a drug screen and physical. Welding/fabrication, PLC/VFD exposure, and condition-monitoring experience are pluses. This is a swing-shift role (10:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.) in Lost Hills, CA.Key Responsibilities:Diagnose and repair complex systems on heavy industrial machinery, including engines, hydraulics, powertrains, and electrical/electronic controlsOverhaul and rebuild major components such as transmissions, axles, hydraulic pumps and motors, gearboxes, and rotating equipmentTroubleshoot computerized control systems, sensors, wiring, and ECUs using diagnostic software and specialized toolsLead large-scale repair projects and coordinate work with other mechanics, technicians, and supervisorsPerform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce unscheduled downtime and maintain detailed repair and service recordsMentor Mechanic I and II team members and collaborate with operators and supervisors to resolve recurring reliability issuesThis is a strong opportunity for an experienced heavy-equipment mechanic to join a long-established company in Lost Hills, CA, and take on advanced repair work in a safety-focused environment that values technical skill, mentoring, and long-term career growth
