This hands-on leadership position is responsible for supervising Maintenance Mechanic Technicians, coordinating preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring machinery remains safe, reliable, and production-ready.The ideal candidate has strong industrial mechanical and electrical experience, a background supervising maintenance teams, and knowledge of food manufacturing regulations and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise, support, and develop third-shift Maintenance Mechanic Technicians.Schedule and coordinate daily maintenance activities based on production priorities.Execute and monitor preventive maintenance programs.Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery, mechanical systems, and electrical equipment.Respond to emergency breakdowns and special repair requests.Minimize production downtime by identifying root causes and implementing effective repairs.Ensure machinery and mechanical equipment operate safely and consistently.Perform mechanic or lubrication duties when additional coverage is required.Enforce plant safety procedures and maintenance best practices.Support employee coaching, performance management, and corrective action documentation.Complete in-house maintenance projects from planning through implementation.Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment documentation.Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, SQF, and applicable plant requirements.Partner with Production, Quality, Sanitation, and plant leadership to support operational goals.Required QualificationsAt least four years of maintenance supervision or maintenance management experience.Hands-on industrial mechanical and electrical maintenance experience.Experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment.Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and maintenance scheduling.Ability to lead employees and work effectively with limited supervision.Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.Ability to interpret written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.Availability to work third shift and provide weekend flexibility as needed.Ability to safely operate or work around forklifts, scissor lifts, hand tools, and industrial equipment.Preferred QualificationsBilingual English and Spanish.Food manufacturing or bakery manufacturing experience.Bachelor’s degree in a related field.Experience with 5S or World Class Manufacturing.Knowledge of HACCP programs and food-safety requirements.Experience with SQF, Silliker, or AIB standards.Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, FDA, health department, city, and county regulations.What We OfferAnnual salary of $75,000 to $85,000, depending on experience.Medical, dental, and vision insurance.Paid vacation and sick leave.401(k) retirement plan.Stable, full-time opportunity within a growing food manufacturing environment.Opportunity to lead maintenance operations and improve equipment reliability.If you are a hands-on maintenance leader with strong mechanical and electrical expertise, we encourage you to apply.Benefit offerings: include medical, dental, vision, additional voluntary benefits, 401K plan.
