Maintenance Technician (Electromechanical)

Job PurposeTo support the Maintenance team in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment and facility systems through routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine inspections and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment, machinery, and facility systems.Execute preventive maintenance activities in accordance with approved maintenance schedules, procedures, and work instructions.Support corrective maintenance activities by identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving equipment faults and failures.Assist in diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues involving motors, gearboxes, drives, pumps, conveyors, and control systems.Carry out repairs, replacement, adjustment, and installation of mechanical and electrical components as required.Use appropriate maintenance tools, testing instruments, and measuring devices to perform inspections and fault-finding activities.Identify and promptly report equipment abnormalities, recurring failures, and potential reliability concerns.Ensure all maintenance work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable safety standards.Complete maintenance work orders, inspection checklists, and maintenance records accurately and in a timely manner.Maintain good housekeeping standards in maintenance workshops, storage areas, and work locations.Support equipment improvement and reliability initiatives aimed at reducing downtime and improving operational efficiency.Collaborate effectively with production and other departments to ensure efficient resolution of equipment-related issues.Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities when required.QualificationsDiploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical discipline.Additional technical certifications in maintenance, electrical safety, or industrial equipment are an advantage.Experience0-2 years of experience in electromechanical, mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.Fresh graduates with relevant technical education, apprenticeship training, or internship experience are encouraged to apply.Skills and CompetenciesBasic knowledge of mechanical systems, including gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, pumps, conveyors, and power transmission equipment.Basic knowledge of electrical systems, including motors, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), motor control circuits, circuit breakers, contactors, relays, and protection devices.Understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance principles and practices.Ability to use common maintenance tools and test equipment, such as multimeters, insulation resistance testers, and hand tools.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and maintenance instructions.Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for mechanical and electrical equipment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.Good communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Basic computer literacy and ability to maintain maintenance records and reports.Willingness to learn and develop technical skills through on-the-job training and continuous development programs.
