This role requires a skilled practitioner who loves making and building, is comfortable in both a workshop and digital making/coding environment and wants to put their expertise in making, fabrication, computing, and applied technology to nurture some of Singapore's most curious and driven young minds.Key Responsibilities Manage the operations of the RGSynapse makerspace, keeping equipment and materials maintained, safety protocols upheld, and the space consistently ready for learning.Mentor and work with Year 1 to Year 3 students during lessons and project sessions, offering hands-on guidance in physical making and digital fabrication to help them move confidently from ideas to working prototype.Work closely with RGSynapse trainers and teachers to prepare materials, set up tools & environments ahead of each session, and provide in-class technical support where needed.Conduct drop-in consultations & small group sessions where students can get practical help, explore ideas independently, and push their projects further with technical guidance.Keep abreast of developments in making, digital fabrication, and emerging technologies, bringing fresh ideas and knowledge that strengthen the RGSynapse programme and makerspace operations.RequirementsPolytechnic or Technical Diploma in Product Design, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial Design or a related field of study.Prior mentoring experience is appreciated but not required. However, experience working with students aged 13 to 16 will be viewed favourably. Strong working knowledge of electronics, emerging technologies and physical computing platforms (eg. micro:bit).Hands-on experience with fabrication tools, 3D printers, laser cutters, and workshop equipment would be advantageous.Proficient in CAD software, digital fabrication workflows and at least one programming environment (eg.
