This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to move beyond traditional accounting and make the exciting  step towards Advisory and virtual CFO services. What You’ll Be DoingReviewing account movement for the relevant period, and reviewing the P&L and Balance Sheet (Actual vs Budget)Monthly and/or quarterly reconciliations including for: fixed assets, hire purchases/leases, liabilities, inter-entity loans and other balance sheet itemsReviewing margins and key ratios to analyse business performancePreparation of monthly and/or quarterly management accountsPreparation of Financial Analysis Summary including: normalised EBITDA, key metrics, working capital, net assets, cash flow summariesAttend to cash flow forecasting and updating regularlyWorking closely with directors and managers to deliver strategic business adviceIdentifying business improvement opportunities and assisting with implementationAssisting with tax planning, structuring, and compliance as part of broader advisory projectsBuilding strong relationships with clients as a trusted advisorWhat We’re Looking ForCompleted a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar disciplineCA or CPA qualified, currently completing or willing to commence3+ years of experience in public practice12+ months of experience with Advisory and/or Virtual CFO services is desired but not essentialExcellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills with a client-first mindsetStrong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholdersStrong skill set with Excel desirableHigh degree of initiative and a proactive approach with a drive to progressExperience with Xero/XPM software is desirable.Why Join Us?Work in a supportive, close-knit team with direct access to leadershipExposure to a wide range of industries and advisory projectsOngoing professional development and career progressionHeritage building office space in Melbourne CBD, right next to Melbourne CentralSalary will be dependent on experience.If this sounds like you, please submit your resume along with a cover letter telling us why you would be suited for the role.
