Position: Management AccountantCompensation: AED 10,000 to 12,000 plus statutory benefits Location: Dubai, UAE Overview: Gateworth are currently supporting an international group client who are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to be based in Dubai. Reporting to the International Finance Manager, this Management Accountant will take ownership of the full accounting cycle across a portfolio of the Group’s subsidiary companies, whilst acting as a central point of contact for senior stakeholders, local accountants, auditors and banking partners.

Main Responsibilities

The role will take responsibility for the day-to-day ledgers across multiple entities, to include customer invoicing, credit notes and receipts, purchase invoice processing, supplier set-up, bank transfers and reconciliations, alongside employee expense claims and salary payments.The Management Accountant will deliver the month-end close, spanning accruals, prepayments, accrued and deferred income, fixed assets and depreciation, petty cash and AP/AR reconciliations, whilst maintaining an accurate and timely general ledger and chart of accounts.These responsibilities will extend to year-end and compliance, supporting the audit process through liaison with auditors and local accountants, and reviewing and confirming quarterly VAT/GST returns for each entity.In conjunction, the role will maintain analytical reporting by cost code and area, and will support budget preparation and variance analysis for the business.Qualifications & Prerequisites: The client will look to recruit a degree-qualified professional (Accounting, Finance or a related field) with three to five years of relevant management accounting experience; a professional accounting qualification is preferred.The successful candidate shall be required to demonstrate a track record across management accounts, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and month-end and year-end closing processes.The ideal candidate shall also display a sound knowledge of IFRS, accounting principles and financial controls, together with an understanding of tax and regulatory requirements.The candidate shall also be required to offer advanced Microsoft Excel and Office 365 skills, combined with excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy and an analytical, problem-solving approach.Apply: Applicants meeting this criterion and looking for a progressive and challenging opportunity should submit an application via, apply@gateworth.com quoting the GWG reference: 33553
