Management Accountant- Dublin 24An established Irish distribution business is looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join its finance team in Citywest.Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a commercially focused role offering exposure to all aspects of financial performance, with responsibility for analysing results, supporting business decisions and identifying opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.The RoleAnalyse monthly brand gross profit performance, investigate variances and recommend corrective actions.Review overheads against budget, identifying variances and opportunities to improve cost control.Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, providing financial insight to support business performance and decision-making.Work with senior management and other departments to improve working capital and cash flow.Provide financial support across the business, identifying cost-saving opportunities and driving operational efficiencies.Prepare financial models and business cases for investment decisions, pricing strategies and new product launches.Take ownership of supplier claims, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely submission, with appropriate controls in place.Work closely with the Finance Director on annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, cash flow projections and longer-term financial planning.Assist with the year-end statutory audit and other ad hoc finance projects.The PersonDegree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.Previous experience in management accounting, commercial finance or a similar role.Strong understanding of management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to investigate variances and identify opportunities for improvement.Strong Microsoft Excel skills and good overall IT proficiency.Commercially minded, with an understanding of the key drivers of profitability and business performance.Proactive and organised, with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the business.This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant to work closely with the Finance Director, develop their commercial finance experience and make a tangible contribution to business performance.For more information, please contact Keith on 01 912 1892 or email keith@executiveedge.ie.
