Team members work in a purpose-driven environment dedicated to creating sustainable livelihoods through skills development.Role Description The Management Information System Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Shillong. The role involves managing and maintaining MIS databases, ensuring accurate and timely data entry from multiple training centers, and monitoring data quality and consistency. The Officer will generate regular reports and dashboards on key performance indicators, analyze trends, and provide insights to support decision-making and program improvement. Daily tasks include coordinating with center staff for data collection, resolving data-related issues, documenting information management procedures, and supporting the implementation of new MIS tools or enhancements. The role also requires close collaboration with program, finance, and senior leadership teams to ensure information systems align with organizational objectives.Qualifications Strong foundation in Information Systems and Management Information Systems (MIS), including experience working with MIS platforms or databases.Proficiency in Data Management and Information Management, with the ability to organize, validate, store, and retrieve large volumes of data efficiently.Demonstrated Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify patterns and variances, and present insights clearly through reports and visualizations.Comfort with common productivity and data tools (e.g., MS Excel, spreadsheets, basic database applications); experience with reporting or BI tools is an advantage.Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Management, or a related field; relevant certifications in MIS or data analysis are beneficial.Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet reporting deadlines in a multi-center environment.Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and non-technical stakeholders.Experience in the non-profit, education, or skill development sector is a plus, along with an interest in working with marginalized youth.
