Excellentmathematical, numerical, and analytical skills are essential.• Subject Criteria: Candidates must have secured 80% or above in Mathematics or mathematics-related subjects in both Bachelor’s and Master’s levels.• Experience: Master’s graduates• Age Criteria: Maximum 32 years running• License/ Vehicle: Valid driving license with vehicle preferredRequired Skills and Attributes:• Analytical and Data Skills: Strong analytical and numerical ability to analyze data, identify trends,solve problems, perform financial modelling and profit analysis, and make data-drivencommercial decision• Number-Driven Mindset: Comfortable working with large volumes of numerical data, performingcomplex calculations.• Financial & Analytical Precision: Highly numerate with sharp financial and analytical thinking,capable of delivering precise cost control, forecasting, and contract profitability insights.• Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of market trends, financial and quantitative analysis,budgeting, cashflow management, and commercial performance, with a proven ability tointerpret complex datasets to maximize commercial performance and mitigate risks.• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting withinternal and external stakeholders.• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborate with internalstakeholders.• Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Advance) and familiar with financial and analyticalsoftware/toolsAdditional Requirements:• Commitment: Candidates must be willing to commit a minimum of 3 years to the companyRoles After Successful Completion of Management TraineeUpon successful completion of the 12-month Management Trainee Program, candidates will transitioninto a commercial leadership role and execute the responsibilities outline below:Primary Role Objective:To drive category of business growth, optimize commercial performance, and align supplier partnershipswith customer needs and business strategy—ensuring profitable, sustainable, and operationallyexecutable outcomes across our Supermarket stores. A key part of the role includes not just theplanning and proposing new initiatives, but also owning them and holding external and internalstakeholders accountable by following up consistently and on time to achieve the business plan goals.Key Functions:Strategic Category Management• Develop and execute (specific or multiple) category growth strategies to maximize sales, margin,and customer satisfaction.• Build roadmaps to grow the (specific or multiple) category for sustainable growth while at thesame time have robust plans for quick wins on short term targets• Conduct gap analysis on existing performance metrics and develop actionable strategies to scalethe business.• Analyzes consumer trends, competitor activity, and market data to shape assortment and pricingdecisions.• Define category roles (e.g., destination, impulse)• Leads range reviews and planogram alignment and optimization to ensure shelf space reflectsperformance and shopper behavior.• Curate assortments by store formats and geographic locations (if required).Supplier & Vendor Management• Implement joint business plans (JBPs) with key vendors to drive mutual growth.• Build strategic supplier partnerships.Commercial Planning & Execution• Own the commercial calendar, coordinating promotions, seasonal events, and tactical campaignsacross categories.• Coordinate cross-functional execution partnering with marketing and operations to ensurecommercial plans are executed effectively in-store and digital.• Monitors performance against KPIs such as net profit, sales, margin, waste, and availability.• Develop and execute project plans for the launch of new brands, products and segments.Pricing & Profitability Management• Sets pricing strategies that balance competitiveness, margin, customer perception, and customer• profiling.• Conducts margin analysis and cost control initiatives to improve category profitability.• Implements markdown and clearance strategies to manage slow-moving inventory.Data-Driven Decision Making• Use analytics and dashboards to track performance, identify opportunities, and inform strategicdecisions.• Leverage CRM, Market Intelligence and POS data to understand shopper behavior and personalizeoffers.• Build a data-driven perspective on category performance and deliver insights with a consultant-like approach.Cross-Functional Leadership• Works closely with buying & merchandise, supply chain, store operations, marketing &promotions, and finance to ensure commercial decisions are operationally viable.• Support the Team of Buying & Merchandise in developing long-term category outlook andimplementation plans.• Supports new store launches and format changes with tailored category plans and supplieronboarding.• Contributes to strategic planning and budgeting cycles with forecasts and commercial insights
