Job Title: Finance & Accounts ManagerOrganization Type: MSME | Leadership Development, Coaching & Learning Solutions Stage: 14-year founder-led business | India & Australia operations Reporting To: Founders Works Closely With: Board Advisor, External CA, Compliance Partners Role PurposeThe Finance & Accounts Manager will be the core internal owner of finance operations, accounting, reporting, and cash discipline for the organization.This role ensures accurate books, timely reporting, strong receivables control, and reliable financial visibility for founders across India and Australia operations.The role is critical in enabling financial discipline, profitability tracking, and smooth coordination with external finance and compliance partners, while maintaining a strong execution focus in a lean MSME setup.This is a hands-on, operational finance role, combining accounting ownership with business finance support and reporting discipline. Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Book Closure· Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts (India & Australia entities coordination)· Ensure timely monthly and annual book closure· Manage ledger hygiene, reconciliations, and journal entries· Coordinate with external CA for statutory finalization and audit readiness· Ensure compliance with accounting standards and documentation discipline 2. Financial Reporting & MIS· Own monthly MIS reporting and financial dashboard preparation· Deliver accurate financial reports within agreed timelines· Maintain consistency across revenue, cost, and expense reporting· Provide clear summaries of business performance for founders· Support data validation and single-source financial reporting 3. Cash Flow & Receivables Management· Track receivables and ensure disciplined follow-ups for collections· Maintain weekly cash flow visibility and updates· Support working capital planning and liquidity monitoring· Coordinate vendor payments based on cash priorities and approvals· Flag cash risks proactively to founders 4. Budgeting & Cost Tracking· Support annual budgeting and rolling forecasts· Track budget vs actuals across business lines· Monitor operating expenses and highlight deviations· Support cost optimization discussions with founders· Assist in workforce and program cost tracking 5. Profitability & Business Finance Support· Track profitability by client, program, and service line· Support pricing inputs through cost and margin analysis· Identify low-margin or unprofitable engagements· Provide financial inputs for business decisions· Assist founders with revenue-performance insights 6. Compliance & Governance· Ensure statutory compliance in coordination with external partners· Support audit preparation and documentation readiness· Maintain financial records for tax, audit, and regulatory requirements· Ensure adherence to internal approval and delegation processes· Maintain finance SOPs and documentation discipline 7. Systems & Process Discipline· Manage finance workflows using Zoho Books / Zoho tools / Excel· Improve reporting accuracy and reduce manual dependencies· Support automation of reporting and reconciliation processes· Strengthen finance process hygiene and turnaround time 8. Stakeholder Coordination· Act as the internal finance SPOC for founders· Coordinate with external CA, auditors, and consultants· Ensure timely closure of finance actions and requests· Support structured information flow for decision-making Core Internal Ownership AreasThis role independently owns:· Books of accounts & monthly closure· MIS and financial dashboards· Cash flow tracking & receivables follow-up· Budget vs actual tracking· Client/program profitability reporting· Vendor payment coordination· Internal financial controls & approvals· Finance data validation· Founder-level reporting support· Compliance coordination (with external CA) QualificationsEducation· CA Inter / CMA / MBA Finance (preferred)· Strong MSME or startup finance exposure Experience· 6–10 years in accounting, finance operations, or business finance roles· Experience in lean, founder-led organizations preferred· Exposure to services / consulting / L&D / SaaS helpful· Hands-on accounting + reporting experience required Technical Skills· Zoho Books / Zoho Analytics (preferred)· Advanced Excel (must-have)· MIS reporting & financial analysis· Cash flow tracking & reconciliations· Basic compliance coordination Behavioral Skills· Strong ownership and accountability mindset· High attention to detail and financial discipline· Comfortable working in lean, fast-moving setups· Strong communication and coordination skills· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision· Integrity and confidentiality in financial handling
