For more information, visit www.helicap.com.Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced investment professional with a deep understanding of Asia-Pacific to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to our investment initiatives, participate in a diverse debt investment portfolio, and foster key client relationships. This role is intended to be based in Jakarta. Helicap is not able to sponsor a work authorisation. The applicants must be authorised to work in Indonesia.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the origination, evaluation and structuring of senior secured debt transactions with financial institutions, fintechs, and high growth sponsored companies
- Strategise and develop investment theses for new markets and investee profiles
- Lead the preparation and presentation of investment memos and financial models for investment opportunities and due diligence purposes
- Support the development of new, and implementation of existing, portfolio monitoring measures
- Present and defend investment proposals to the Investment Committee
- Contribute to the development of Helicap’s technology and analytics platform
- Participate in internal business development initiatives within Helicap, its partners, and portfolio companies
- Assist with internal marketing, events, and other commercial activitiesRequirementsEducation:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field. Professional certifications (CPA, CFA) are a plus. Experience:
- 4 – 7 years of experience; minimum of 3 years in private credit, investment banking, microfinance, impact debt investments, or economic development
- Experience in financial statement analysis, accounting, or financial audit (Big 4 background preferred).
- Familiarity with private credit investment structures, including security structures and covenant packs.
- Demonstrated expertise in assessing and negotiating private debt investments within the region.
- Prior experience in impact measurement and management (IMM) methods, people management, or restructuring/workout situations are a plus.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Excel (financial modelling, pivot tables) and PowerPoint.
- Programming knowledge or experience with financial tools (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus.Personal Attributes:
