The Red Sea welcomed its first guests last year, becoming the first Vision 2030 giga-project to open, and its dedicated Red Sea International Airport, on track to become the Middle East’s first carbon-neutral airport is now operational.We are seeking a Manager, Risk & Crisis Communications to strengthen RSG’s ability to anticipate, prepare for, and respond to risks and crises across our destinations. In this role, you will manage risk and crisis communications planning, lead cross-functional coordination, and ensure effective stakeholder engagement at critical moments. You will also be responsible for embedding best practice crisis preparedness across the organization and managing high-stakes communication projects that protect and enhance RSG’s reputation.Job ResponsibilitiesRisk Assessment & MonitoringLead ongoing risk assessments for Red Sea Global projects, factoring in geopolitical, economic, environmental, reputational, and operational risks.Identify and prioritize key risks.Monitor emerging issues and external developments through tools such as Sprinklr, industry sources, and stakeholder feedback.Ensure alignment of risk monitoring with enterprise-wide risk management priorities. Crisis Planning & PreparednessDevelop and oversee crisis communications strategies, playbooks, and escalation processes.Lead cross-departmental coordination to ensure alignment of crisis response procedures with brand positioning and RSG values.Organize workshops, simulations, and media training, including specialized crisis media training for executives and spokespeople.Prepare crisis communication materials, including holding statements, press releases, FAQs, and social media content.Risk & Crisis Project ManagementManage end-to-end delivery of risk and crisis communication projects, ensuring timely execution and alignment with organizational objectives.Oversee project planning, resourcing, timelines, and reporting for crisis preparedness initiatives.Manager Risk and crisis communicationsCoordinate with RSG’s Risk, Legal, Operations, and Corporate Affairs teams to ensure integrated planning and response.Track KPIs and progress to senior leadership, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.Internal Communication & AlignmentPartner with internal communications to cascade clear, consistent messaging during crises.Draft internal updates, leadership briefings, FAQs, and Q&As for employees and key departments.Support organizational resilience by embedding a culture of preparedness across teams.Stakeholder EngagementIdentify and map priority stakeholders (PIF, Royal Court, government entities, investors, partners, local communities).Develop tailored communication strategies for stakeholder engagement during crises.Prepare leadership with briefing materials and talking points for high-stakes interactions.Evaluation & Continuous LearningLead post-crisis reviews to capture lessons learned and ensure continuous improvement.Produce debrief reports and strategic recommendations for executive leadership.Benchmark against international best practice to ensure RSG remains at the forefront of risk and crisis communications.Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and ReportsFollow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies and standards.Safety, Quality & EnvironmentApply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.Continuous ImprovementContribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of company and department systems, processes and practices, considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.Job Requirements, Qualifications, and ExperienceMinimum of 5-7 years of experience within the same fieldBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Linguistic, Translation, Journalist, or relevant field.SkillsExcellent writing skills in English and Arabic with a proven track record in developing content for high profile executivesStrong familiarity with social and traditional mediaStrong understanding of events and management of senior spokespeopleGood organizational and time-management skillsLeadership skills and the ability to “manage upwards” to the PublicistCompetent researcher, able to analyze information and draw pertinent conclusionsStrong grasp of tone and capable of reflecting this in draft speechesAbility to deliver high quality media briefingsSharp, agile and able to work in a fast workplaceConfident writing for a wide range of stakeholders, including employees, governmentStakeholders and key commercial partnersConfident dealing with senior executivesStrong awareness of tourism industry trends and the news agendaExperience in the development of brand narratives and executive profilingExcellent attention to detail and administrative accuracyA strong work ethic and an ability to thrive under pressure
