Location: San Francisco, CAThe RoleWe are looking for a Manager, Business Intelligence & Revenue Analytics to lead a growing BI and analytics function and help turn data into actionable commercial insights.This is a hands-on leadership role at the intersection of data, revenue strategy, and business decision-making.

You will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Revenue Operations, Data Engineering, and executive leadership to develop reporting frameworks, identify growth opportunities and risks, and improve how data is used across the organization.You will manage and develop a small analytics team while remaining directly involved in complex analytical work, dashboards, and strategic initiatives.What You'll DoRevenue & Commercial AnalyticsPartner with Sales and Revenue leadership on pipeline, forecasting, customer growth, churn, and product adoption analytics.Identify trends, risks, underserved segments, and growth opportunities and translate them into actionable recommendations.Deliver clear insights to leadership that drive commercial and strategic decisions.Marketing AnalyticsAnalyze campaign performance, attribution, customer segmentation, and marketing ROI.Partner with Marketing to establish KPIs and reporting frameworks.Provide insights that help optimize marketing strategy and investment.BI, Reporting & Executive DashboardsDevelop and maintain executive dashboards, KPI frameworks, and management reporting across Sales, Marketing, and Operations.Ensure reporting is accurate, consistent, timely, and focused on the metrics that matter.Proactively identify performance trends, anomalies, and business risks.Data & AnalyticsPartner with Data Engineering to translate business needs into data models, pipelines, transformation logic, and reporting solutions.Build and maintain reporting logic, datasets, and reusable analytics assets.Establish consistent definitions for key metrics such as revenue, customer segmentation, and product usage.Improve data quality, governance, validation, and reporting standards.Promote data literacy and self-service analytics across the organization.Leadership & Stakeholder ManagementHelp define and manage the BI and analytics roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on business impact.Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of BI and analytics professionals.Serve as a trusted analytics partner to senior stakeholders across the business.Balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on SQL, reporting, and analytical work.What We're Looking ForStrong background in Business Intelligence, Revenue Analytics, Commercial Analytics, or a related discipline.Advanced SQL and reporting/dashboarding capabilities.Strong understanding of relational databases, data structures, and analytics best practices.Experience analyzing sales, revenue, customer, product, or marketing performance.Ability to translate complex datasets into clear business insights and recommendations.Experience partnering with Data Engineering and technical teams.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including presenting insights to senior leadership.Experience leading or mentoring analytics professionals.A balance of strategic thinking and hands-on analytical ability.CompensationThe base salary range for this San Francisco-based position is $120,000–$170,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.What I changed: I significantly reduced repetition, consolidated the responsibilities into five clearer areas, and elevated the commercial/revenue analytics component. I also made the role feel more attractive to candidates by emphasizing its combination of team leadership, executive exposure, revenue strategy, and hands-on analytics, while adding the San Francisco location and compensation range prominently.
