Dacca Ceramics and Sanitary Wares Limited is looking for Manager - CastingJob Description / ResponsibilitySupervise and manage the overall casting operations in the sanitary ware manufacturing process.Ensure smooth and efficient casting operations according to the daily production plan.Monitor casting activities, including mould preparation, slip casting, mould filling, draining, demoulding, and greenware handling.Ensure the required quality of cast products and minimize casting defects, including cracks, deformation, pinholes, uneven wall thickness, and other casting-related defects.Monitor slip properties, including density, viscosity, temperature, and casting performance, in coordination with the Body Preparation and Quality Control teams.Ensure proper mould management, including mould condition, drying, maintenance, and replacement.Identify the root causes of production defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.Maintain production targets, product quality, material utilization, and process efficiency.Coordinate with the Body Preparation, Quality Control, Glazing, Maintenance, and other relevant departments to ensure uninterrupted production.Ensure proper manpower planning, shift management, and workforce productivity.Monitor machine and equipment performance and coordinate with the Maintenance Department to minimize downtime.Ensure compliance with factory safety standards, housekeeping practices, and company policies.Prepare daily production reports and monitor casting KPIs, including production output, rejection rate, mould utilization, and productivity.Train, guide, and motivate casting personnel to improve technical skills and operational performance.Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce wastage, production costs, and rejection rates.Educational RequirementsDiploma in Glass & Ceramic TechnologyBachelor of Science (BSc) in Glass & Ceramic TechnologyBachelor/HonorsHigher SecondaryCandidates with a Diploma in Ceramic Technology or a relevant technical qualification may be considered based on their experience and technical expertise.Experience Requirements2 to 5 year(s)The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Sanitary wareAdditional RequirementsMinimum 2–5 years of practical experience in casting operations within a sanitary ware or ceramics manufacturing factory.Candidates with experience in a supervisory or managerial position will be given preference.Experience in sanitary ware casting processes, mould management, slip handling, and production quality control is highly desirable.Strong technical knowledge of sanitary ware casting processes.Practical knowledge of casting defects, troubleshooting, and process optimization.Ability to manage production targets, manpower, and shift operations.Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional departments.Proficiency in production reporting and basic computer applications.Ability to work under pressure and achieve production targets.Job LocationGazipur (Tongi)
