This full-time, on-site role in Valhalla, NY includes supervising laboratory staff, coordinating work schedules, and promoting a culture of safety and quality. The manager collaborates with clinical teams and medical leadership to support patient care, optimize test menus, and implement evidence-based practices and new technologies. Responsibilities include monitoring quality indicators, maintaining regulatory and accreditation standards, managing inventory and instrumentation, and updating standard operating procedures. The role also involves staff training and competency assessment, participation in performance improvement initiatives, and contribution to policy development and strategic planning for laboratory services.Qualifications Demonstrated experience in clinical operations, particularly in microbiology and molecular diagnostics, with the ability to oversee daily laboratory workflows and staffing.Ability to design and deliver effective training and competency programs for laboratory personnel, supporting ongoing professional development and adherence to best practices.Clinical knowledge in medicine, with an understanding of infectious diseases, molecular testing methodologies, and their application to patient diagnosis and management.Experience in quality improvement, including developing, monitoring, and evaluating quality metrics, and implementing corrective actions to maintain regulatory and accreditation compliance.Relevant certification such as ASCP or equivalent, and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Microbiology, or a related field.Prior supervisory or management experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Familiarity with laboratory information systems, electronic
