The Arc ADE is Growing: Two Manager OpportunitiesThe Arc Arapahoe, Douglas & Elbert Counties (The Arc ADE) is expanding and seeking two experienced Managers who are excited about supporting staff, strengthening our work, and advancing inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).As our organization has grown, so has the scope and complexity of our work. These new Manager positions will provide dedicated day-to-day leadership and support to staff while helping ensure our programs, communications, and community engagement remain consistent, responsive, and aligned with our mission.We are hiring for:Program ManagerFull-time, Exempt | 40 hours/week | In Person | BenefitsReports to: Director of ProgramsThe Program Manager provides day-to-day leadership, supervision, guidance, and support to The Arc ADE's Advocates and coordinates the routine operation of individual advocacy, self-advocacy, guardianship, and other assigned programs.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys developing people, solving problems, supporting strong advocacy, and creating consistency across a team.Key responsibilities include:Directly supervise, coach, and support Advocates.Manage workloads, coverage, priorities, and day-to-day program operations.Provide case consultation and guidance on complex advocacy situations.Support staff development, onboarding, performance management, and professional growth.Ensure consistent documentation, procedures, quality, and follow-through.Support the day-to-day operation and continuity of The Arc ADE's Guardianship Program.Identify recurring barriers or systems issues emerging through individual advocacy.Use program data and reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.Work closely with the Director of Programs while independently managing routine supervisory and operational decisions.We're looking for someone with:5 years of experience in human services, social work, nonprofit management, public administration, education, business administration, or a related field; IDD experience preferred.3 years of experience supervising, supporting, and developing staff.Experience in advocacy, disability or human services, guardianship, case management, nonprofit services, or a related field.Strong coaching, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.A commitment to dignity, choice, inclusion, independence, self-determination, and full community participation for people with IDD.Communications ManagerFull-time, Exempt | 40 hours/week | BenefitsReports to: Director of OperationsSupervises: Outreach CoordinatorThe Communications Manager leads The Arc ADE's day-to-day communications and outreach work, translating organizational priorities into clear messaging, coordinated outreach, effective campaigns, events, and accessible community communications. This is both a management and hands-on professional communications role.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people and projects while still doing creative communications work.Key responsibilities include:Supervise, coach, and support the Outreach staff.Develop and manage communications plans, calendars, timelines, and priorities.Lead organizational messaging, content development, campaigns, publications, presentations, and major communications.Manage website, email, social media strategy, editorial planning, and digital communications.Maintain The Arc ADE's brand, voice, accessibility standards, and plain-language practices.Coordinate media inquiries, public relations, talking points, press releases, and external messaging.Guide community outreach and relationship-development priorities.Manage the organization's event portfolio in partnership with the Director of Operations and Outreach Coordinator.Track communications, outreach, event, and campaign results and use that information to improve future work.We're looking for someone with:At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in communications, marketing, public relations, content development, or a related field.At least 3 years of experience supervising professional staff or leading the work of others.Excellent writing, editing, verbal communication, organizational, and project-management skills.Experience with websites, email marketing, social media, digital analytics, and design or publishing tools.Knowledge of accessible communications, plain language, inclusive messaging, and brand management.Knowledge of—or an ability to quickly learn—issues affecting people with IDD and their families.What Both Managers Bring to The Arc ADEWhile these positions have very different areas of expertise, we are looking for leaders who share a common approach. Both Managers should be able to support people without micromanaging them, establish clear expectations, manage competing priorities, recognize when something needs higher-level attention, and help staff do their best work.Both positions will play an important role in creating the organizational capacity that allows The Arc ADE to grow while maintaining the quality, responsiveness, and personal relationships that are central to our work.Most importantly, we are looking for people who believe in the rights, choices, voices, and full inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.Interested candidates should indicate whether they are applying for the Program Manager or Communications Manager position when submitting their application.
