This individual will bring a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, helping to strengthen existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement within a more manual operating environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, coach, and develop a team of credit and collections professionals.Oversee day-to-day credit, collections, dispute resolution, and accounts receivable activities while being hands on involved at times.Monitor customer account performance, aging reports, credit limits, and collection effectiveness.Communicate and engage with clients helping maintain a positive business relationship while keeping them in good standing.Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, and Operations to resolve account issues and improve cash flow.Establish priorities, performance expectations, and best practices for the team.Review and evaluate customer creditworthiness and associated risk.Develop and implement collection strategies that reduce delinquency and bad debt exposure.Analyze trends, identify operational gaps, and recommend process improvements.Help modernize and streamline workflows within a largely manual environment.Create reporting and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and financial procedures.Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer-focused service.What We're Looking ForProven experience leading credit, collections, or accounts receivable teams in a Manager capacity.Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.CCP designation or other related certifications are an asset.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment, collections practices, and accounts receivable management.Demonstrated success coaching, mentoring, and developing employees.Comfortable rolling up your sleeves and participating in day-to-day operational activities.Experience working within environments that include manual processes and opportunities for improvement.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across multiple departments.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.Ideal CandidateYou are a people-focused leader who can successfully balance strategy and execution.
