If you enjoy solving real problems and seeing your work used at scale, you will feel right at home here.Role Overview:The Manager, Risk Policy is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously enhancing credit and risk policies that govern the digital lending lifecycle. Reporting to the Head, Financial Risk, this role ensures that lending practices are aligned with risk appetite, regulatory requirements, and portfolio performance objectives.The role bridges risk strategy, business growth, and operational execution, translating risk insights into practical policies across underwriting, portfolio management, and collections. The incumbent will also play a critical role in policy optimisation using data analytics and AI-driven insights, ensuring scalable and sustainable lending growth.What You'll Do:1. Risk Policy Design & GovernanceDevelop and maintain end-to-end credit risk policies, covering:Customer eligibility and underwriting criteriaCredit limits, pricing, and approval rulesPortfolio management guidelines (line management, repricing)Collections and recovery strategiesEnsure policies are clearly documented, structured, and consistently applied across the businessEstablish governance processes for policy approval, review, and change management2. Risk Strategy & Portfolio ManagementTranslate risk appetite into actionable policy thresholds and decision rulesMonitor portfolio performance and recommend policy adjustments to:Optimise approval rates vs. credit lossesManage delinquency and default trendsConduct segmentation analysis (customer risk tiers, behavioural trends) to refine policy strategiesPartner with Risk Modeler and Risk Analytics teams to ensure policy reflects model outputs and insights3. Policy Optimisation (Data-Driven & AI-Enabled)Leverage data analytics and model outputs to:Identify opportunities to enhance approval strategy and pricingImprove credit quality and profitabilityWork with Data Science and Product teams to embed:Decision rules enginesAI/ML-driven credit decision frameworksContinuously test and refine policies through experimentation (e.g., champion/challenger approaches)4. Implementation & Operational AlignmentTranslate policies into executable rules within systems and operational workflowsWork closely with:Operations (verification, call centre, collections)Product and Technology (rule engines, system configuration)Ensure policies are:Operationally feasibleClearly understood by execution teamsSupport rollout of new products or changes in lending strategies5. Risk Governance & Regulatory ComplianceEnsure compliance with:Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) regulatory expectationsResponsible lending practices and fair treatment of customersInternal risk governance frameworksSupport internal audits, regulatory reviews, and policy documentation requirementsMaintain audit-ready documentation, including policy rationale, changes, and impact assessments6. Collections & Recovery Policy OversightDefine strategy and policy for collections across delinquency stagesEnsure alignment between:Risk appetiteCustomer fairness principlesRegulatory expectationsOptimise recovery outcomes through segmentation and strategy differentiation7.
