Team members collaborate with global partners and clients, gaining exposure to international trade practices and multi-region logistics operations.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for a Manager – Custom Clearance with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. The Manager will oversee end-to-end customs clearance processes for import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with customs authorities, shipping lines, transporters, and clients, managing documentation, and resolving queries or issues related to customs brokerage. The role involves reviewing and validating HS codes, duties, and taxes, monitoring shipment status, and ensuring timely clearance to avoid delays and penalties. The Manager will lead and mentor the customs team, implement process improvements, maintain accurate records, and provide regular status updates and reports to senior management and key customers.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong customs operations skills, including Customs Brokerage and hands-on experience with clearance procedures.Candidates should possess import-related expertise, including Import and Import Export documentation, regulations, and process management.Candidates should possess export-related expertise, including Export and Import Export compliance, documentation, and coordination with stakeholders.Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for interacting with customs officials, clients, internal teams, and external partners.Minimum 10 years of experience in customs clearance or freight forwarding, with at least several years in a managerial or supervisory role.In-depth knowledge of Indian customs regulations, port procedures, HS classification, duties, and taxes; experience with digital customs systems and portals.Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of managing high-volume shipments and tight timelines.Relevant academic qualification in logistics, supply chain, international trade, or a related field; professional certifications in customs or logistics are an advantage.
