Location: Hybrid 3 days (offices in NYC, Denver, CO and Charlotte, NC area)Position SummaryLead Judi Rx’s Underwriting Data Analyst team in the day-to-day operations in support of underwriting for both new business opportunities and recontracting of current clients.

Manage, train, and mentor the Underwriting Data Analyst team members in all facets of their roles, as well as act as the first POC and SME for all data-related questions for the greater Underwriting department. Directly contribute to and provide oversight over the Underwriting Data Analyst team’s infrastructure including maintaining existing functionality and leading the development of new features.Position ResponsibilitiesCollect, clean, process, and analyze potential and current clients’ pharmaceutical data – using SQL, Python, R, and MS Excel as appropriate – to support the Underwriting and Sales teams in the acquisition of new business and retention of current clientsThoroughly understand internal and external data fields, identify patterns of data irregularities, and improve data quality and intakeCoordinate with relevant parties regarding any data ambiguity and request any additional data elements that may be required or beneficial for analysisTroubleshoot and customize infrastructure code in SQL, Python, and R to diagnose and solve data or process issuesCreate custom code in SQL, Python, and R for improved or entirely new functionality in support of ad hoc requests and to further the development of our growing infrastructureManage the development of new analyses, reporting, and process enhancements in support of pricing models for new and existing productsProvide ad-hoc analytics support to the Underwriting team for the successful completion of all bid opportunitiesProvide analytics support to the Pricing, Clinical, Account Management, and Implementation teams to facilitate client transitionsCollaborate with Leadership Team and other business functions (sales, marketing, account management) to develop and maintain internal underwriting, financial modeling, and financial reporting system infrastructure and SOPsTrain and on-board new hires in Underwriting data, tools, and processesManage a team of Underwriting Data Analysts as direct reportsManage the Underwriting Data Analyst work queue and assignmentsProvide QA review of all ad hoc analyses and custom views for both internal and external reporting purposesEstablish and maintain team documentation on processes, procedure, and best practices Required QualificationsUndergraduate bachelor’s degree, with record of strong academic performance in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a quantitative social science5+ years of proven experience in data analysis, such as financial analysis, actuarial services, accounting, pricing & underwriting1+ year of experience in managing direct reports1+ year of experience working with pharmaceutical claims dataExpertise in SQL for data transformation and data analysis with strong coding hygiene and documentation practicesProficiency in Python and RWorking knowledge of ETL fundamentals and experience working with cloud-based data warehousesExperience working with structured and unstructured dataTrack record of leading cross-functional initiatives, driving high performance, meeting deadlines, and executing on deliverablesExceptional written and verbal communication skillsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously under a frequently shifting work queueExtremely flexible, highly organized, and able to shift priorities easilyAttention to detail & commitment to delivering high-quality work products Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree, with record of strong academic performance in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a quantitative social scienceKnowledge of medical claims data Knowledge of TableauKnowledge of and passion for improving the health care industry Nothing in this position description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range.
