OverviewThe incumbent will lead the hospital's emergency preparedness program, providing oversight and strategic coordination to ensure effective response to various emergencies, such as pandemics/IT downtime etc. The role involves supervising the emergency planning team, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with MOH directives.Job ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for the following:1. Emergency Planning Program ManagementManage day-to-day emergency preparedness operations and activitiesOversee implementation of emergency response plans and SOPsCoordinate emergency preparedness activities across departmentsMonitor compliance with established emergency preparedness proceduresSupport senior management in strategic planning initiatives2.Team Leadership and SupervisionSupervise Assistant Manager/Senior Executive(s)/Executive(s) in Emergency Planning teamManage team performance and provide coaching supportCoordinate team workload and resource allocationSupport staff development and training initiatives3.Crisis Management and Incident ResponseCoordinate departmental response during emergency activationsSupport Operations Centre setup and operations during crisisEnsure proper incident documentation and reporting proceduresAssist in post-incident reviews and follow-up actions4.Equipment and Resource ManagementCoordinate EP equipment procurement and maintenance activitiesMonitor equipment inventory and readiness statusSupport budget planning and expenditure trackingLiaise with Biomedical Equipment Department on asset management5.Integrated General Hospital (IGH) Planning CoordinationLead departmental participation in IGH Ops Centre planningCoordinate with medical planners and campus planning teamsOversee preparation of EP requirements for IGH implementationManage IGH-related procurement planning and timeline adherence6.Administrative and Project SupportProvide secretariat support for BCM Steering Committee meetingsSupport MOH EP projects and initiatives as assignedCoordinate with stakeholders on emergency preparedness mattersAssist in IGH emergency preparedness planning activitiesRequirementsMinimum 4-6 years of experience in healthcare operations or emergency managementMinimum 2 years in supervisory rolesFamiliarity with healthcare regulatory environmentBasic project coordination experienceTeam leadership and people management skillsEmergency planning and crisis response knowledgeGood communication and coordination abilitiesBasic budget and resource managementAnalytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work under pressure and manage prioritiesThis is a 3-year contract role, subject to extension based on satisfactory work performance and organizational needsIf the role sounds interesting to you, please contact ‘careers_alexandra@nuhs.edu.sg’ to understand more on the role.
