Roles & ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end import and export operations in compliance with organizational policies and applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.Ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective preparation and execution of all EXIM documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, Letters of Credit, licenses, declarations, insurance documents, BRCs, and other statutory documents.Ensure compliance with customs regulations, import/export laws, tariffs, duties, licenses, restrictions, and applicable government requirements.Plan and implement import and export strategies aligned with the organization's business objectives and operational requirements.Coordinate with Sales, Purchase, Supply Chain, Production, Finance, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth and efficient EXIM operations.Coordinate with and manage external service providers, including CHAs, transporters, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and other logistics partners.Negotiate and manage commercial terms, contracts, rates, and service agreements with logistics and other external partners; ensure timely renewals and effective vendor management.Oversee customs clearance, duty payments, drawback claims, export incentives, licenses, and other EXIM-related applications in coordination with relevant authorities and service providers.Ensure compliance with all pre-shipment and post-shipment documentation and regulatory requirements.Monitor and control EXIM-related operational costs and support the budgeting and planning process.Prepare and maintain monthly MIS and management reports covering imports, exports, logistics costs, drawbacks, bank submissions, and other EXIM activities.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all import, export, customs, logistics, and statutory documentation.Identify operational challenges and develop effective, practical, and cost-efficient solutions to improve EXIM processes.Ensure timely submission of required documents to CHA, shipping lines, banks, customs authorities, and other regulatory bodies.Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable duty, drawback, customs, tax, and government regulations, including necessary certifications and verifications.Drive continuous improvement in international logistics and EXIM processes to improve efficiency, compliance, cost effectiveness, and service levels.Minimum RequirementsRelevant experience in Import, Export, EXIM, International Trade, or Supply Chain Management, preferably in a similar role.Master's degree in Business Administration, Export/International Trade Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, international trade documentation, duties, tariffs, and compliance requirements.Working knowledge of purchasing and supply chain processes and systems.Experience managing CHAs, freight forwarders, transporters, shipping lines, and other logistics service providers.Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, commercial negotiations, and MIS reporting.Strong analytical, negotiation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.Good understanding of international logistics and end-to-end supply chain operations.
