Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob Description - MANAGER – EXIMWe are looking for an experienced Manager – EXIM to manage and oversee end-to-end Import, Export, Customs, International Trade and Logistics Operations. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in EXIM documentation, customs compliance, shipment coordination, international trade regulations, freight cost management and export/import incentive schemes.Key Responsibilities – Import OperationsManage end-to-end import processes by coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, Customs Brokers/CHAs and internal stakeholders.Review and verify Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, BL/AWB, COO, Insurance documents and other regulatory documentation.Coordinate transportation and shipment tracking to ensure on-time delivery and resolve delays.Ensure compliance with Customs regulations, DGFT, FEMA and applicable import laws.Ensure timely and efficient clearance of raw materials with minimum/no penalty, detention and demurrage.Finalize BOE checklists, HS Codes, duty structures and FTA benefits.Handle HS Code classification, valuation and customs compliance.Verify and process Bills of Entry and duty payments.Coordinate with Stores/Raw Material and Purchase teams for material planning and movement.Resolve customs queries, shipment delays and logistics-related issues.Prepare Import MIS, duty analysis and logistics performance reports.Maintain and monitor DGFT licenses including RoDTEP, MEIS, SEIS, ADL, EPCG and Project Licenses and ensure optimum utilization.Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in freight, customs clearance and import operations.Key Responsibilities – Export OperationsManage and review export documentation including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Shipping Bill, COO, BL, AWB, LUT and Insurance documents.Ensure compliance with Customs, DGFT, Foreign Trade Policy, CAROTAR, FTA and destination-country regulations.Manage export incentives and documentation related to RoDTEP and other export promotion schemes.Handle COO issuance and FTA documentation.Coordinate with customers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, CHAs, banks and internal teams.Monitor shipments and ensure timely dispatch and delivery.Review draft BL/AWB with customers before final issuance.Coordinate container release, stuffing and shipment dispatch with shipping lines and forwarding agents.Resolve shipment delays, customs queries and cargo damage claims.Prepare export banking documents as per Incoterms and Letter of Credit (LC) requirements.Coordinate with banks for export realization, E-BRC generation and EDPMS closure.Follow up with Finance and customers for payment realization and statutory compliance.Coordinate with Production/Plant teams for dispatch readiness and COC/COA documentation.Maintain shipment trackers, customs declarations and export records.Prepare Export MIS, KPI dashboards, logistics performance and cost optimization reports.Support internal, external, statutory and customs audits.Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics providers, freight forwarders, customers and regulatory authorities.Negotiate freight rates and logistics service contracts to improve cost efficiency.Freight Vendor Bills & Logistics Cost ManagementVerify and process freight invoices from shipping lines, airlines, freight forwarders, transporters, warehouses and CHAs.Validate charges against approved quotations, contracts, rate sheets and POs.Check freight, handling, detention, demurrage, storage and customs clearance charges.Resolve invoice discrepancies with logistics vendors and internal stakeholders.Prepare freight cost summaries and coordinate invoice approvals.Coordinate with Finance/AP teams for timely vendor payments.Monitor vendor outstanding balances and payment terms.Maintain records of freight bills, quotations, supporting documents and payment status.Reconcile logistics costs with shipment records and identify billing variances.Track freight expenditure, logistics costs and budget utilization.Support monthly accruals, cost allocation and financial reporting.Negotiate rate corrections and resolve vendor billing disputes.Ensure compliance with GST, TDS and internal financial controls.Support audits by maintaining complete freight and payment documentation.Develop freight cost MIS, KPI dashboards and cost-saving initiatives.Required SkillsCandidates should have strong knowledge and hands-on experience in:EXIM Operations – Import & ExportCustoms Clearance & Customs Operations.Prior experience in the Manufacturing Industry is preferred.Hands-on exposure to Project Imports, EPCG, Advance Authorization and FTA benefits.Strong understanding of Customs compliance,
