Our business spans chemicals, pharmaceuticals, APIs, pharmaceutical intermediates, food and cosmetic ingredients, natural products, polymers, specialty chemicals and custom-manufactured products.We are looking for an experienced professional to take end-to-end ownership of international export execution. This is a high-responsibility position and is not limited to routine export documentation or logistics coordination.Role ObjectiveThe incumbent will own the complete order-to-delivery cycle:Customer Order → Supplier Confirmation → Production / Material Readiness → Shipment Planning → Freight Negotiation → Container / Isotank Booking → Export Documentation → Customs → Vessel Departure → Shipment Tracking → Customer Communication → DeliveryThe principal objective is to ensure that APAC consistently delivers the right product, right quantity and right documentation, at the right freight cost, and within the customer’s committed ETA.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. End-to-End Export Order Ownership● Take ownership of every confirmed international customer order.● Establish a detailed execution plan from order confirmation to delivery.● Track production, material readiness, shipment booking, documentation, customs, vessel departure and ETA.● Maintain a live order and shipment tracker.● Identify risks well in advance and initiate corrective action.2. Customer ETA Management● Work towards 100% adherence to committed customer ETA.● Monitor vessel schedules, transit times, supplier readiness and shipment milestones.● Identify potential delays before they affect the customer.● Develop alternative logistics plans where necessary.● Maintain clear visibility of customer-required ETA versus actual / revised ETA.3. Supplier / Manufacturer CoordinationA critical part of the position — the incumbent is expected to actively drive supplier readiness rather than wait for supplier updates.● Coordinate continuously with suppliers / manufacturers across India and Asia.● Confirm production schedules and firm up material readiness dates; follow up on production progress.● Coordinate QC / testing and COA availability; confirm packaging and dispatch readiness.● Ensure material is ready sufficiently before vessel cut-offs; coordinate pickup / loading.● Identify and escalate supplier delays at an early stage.● Ensure suppliers understand customer delivery commitments.4. Freight Negotiation & Cost Optimisation● Obtain competitive ocean freight quotations and benchmark rates across major trade lanes.● Negotiate with shipping lines, carriers, NVOCCs and logistics providers.● Analyse freight components and surcharges; monitor PSS, GRI and other freight changes.● Develop direct relationships with shipping-line commercial teams.● Identify opportunities for cost reduction and minimise unnecessary intermediary costs.● Maintain freight-rate records and benchmarks.5. Direct Shipping-Line BookingWhere commercially feasible, develop APAC’s capability to book containers and isotanks directly with shipping lines / carriers, covering:Direct carrier relationship development

- Any changes or delays
- Shipping documents.The fundamental principle is: NO SURPRISES FOR THE CUSTOMER.If an ETA is at risk, the customer must be informed proactively along with the reason, revised timeline and corrective action.7. Export DocumentationCoordinate preparation and verification of:Commercial Invoice

- Shipping Bill
- Bill of Lading
- Customer-specific documentation
- Product / regulatory documents as applicableEnsure documentation is accurate and completed before applicable cut-offs.8. Customs & ICEGATE – In-House CapabilityA key objective for APAC is to develop stronger in-house control over export customs processes. The incumbent will manage direct preparation and filing of Shipping Bills through the ICEGATE portal, wherever applicable:● Prepare Shipping Bill data; verify HSN / ITC classification and export details.● File Shipping Bills through ICEGATE and monitor filing status.● Resolve validation errors / queries and coordinate with Customs.● Monitor the process through clearance / LEO and relevant post-export stages; maintain proper records.● Ensure timely filing so customs formalities do not affect vessel cut-offs or customer ETA.APAC will continue to use CHA / C&F agents primarily for physical customs, port and related activities requiring their involvement, while building greater in-house capability for documentation, electronic filing, tracking and export execution.9. CHA / C&F / Port Coordination● Coordinate with CHA / C&F agents for customs and port activities; ensure timely customs clearance.● Monitor Shipping Bill status and LEO; coordinate examination / inspection where required.● Ensure containers reach port within cut-off; resolve customs / port-related issues promptly.● Monitor DG-related requirements where applicable.10. Container & Isotank Planning● Plan container and isotank requirements in advance; ensure equipment availability before material readiness.● Coordinate loading and dispatch; monitor equipment release and return requirements.● Coordinate DG and special-handling requirements; avoid last-minute equipment shortages.11. Shipment Risk & Exception ManagementProactively manage supplier / production / quality-release delays, container and isotank shortages, vessel cancellations and rollovers, port congestion, customs issues, documentation errors, DG acceptance issues, transshipment delays and freight increases.Expected approach: Identify → Analyse → Act → Communicate → Resolve → Close12. - Chemicals, pharmaceuticals, specialty chemicals or ingredients experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of export documentation & Indian export procedures
- Container shipments experience; DG preferred; isotank an advantage
- Strong freight negotiation & direct dealings with shipping lines
- Supplier / manufacturer coordination & strong customer communication
- ICEGATE / Shipping Bill filing highly desirable; strong Excel / ERP / CRM
