Trans Asia Industries Ltd. is looking for Manager-Fabrication (Weld and Press Shop)Job Purpose:Trans Asia Industries Ltd., a renowned automobile manufacturing company in Bangladesh, is seeking a dynamic, result-oriented, and experienced Manager – Fabrication to oversee and manage all fabrication operations. To lead and manage all Fabrication, Welding, and Press Shop operations by ensuring production targets, product quality, operational efficiency, safety compliance, and cost-effective manufacturing. The role will be responsible for overseeing fabrication processes, optimizing resource utilization, minimizing defects and downtime, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to support organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure effective operation and process control of MIG Welding and Spot-Welding activities to achieve production targets and quality standards.Identify, analyze, and implement corrective and preventive actions for various welding defects occurring during the fabrication process.Supervise and optimize the operation of medium mechanical press machines, ensuring safe and efficient production.Monitor and control product quality at all stages of fabrication to ensure compliance with company and customer requirements.Lead die maintenance activities, troubleshoot tooling issues, and resolve tool wear, die damage, and stamping defects to minimize production interruptions.Manage machine utilization, production efficiency, and preventive maintenance schedules to maximize equipment availability and prevent costly downtime.Prepare and maintain production-related MIS reports, operational records, and other relevant documentation for management review.Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) within the fabrication department.Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to achieve production objectives and continuous process improvement.Monitor manpower performance, provide technical guidance to supervisors and operators, and support skill development initiatives.Perform any other duties or assignments as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.The candidate Should have;Strong knowledge of MIG, MAG, Spot, and Arc Welding processes.Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.Knowledge of Press Shop operations, dies, tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement techniques.Strong leadership and manpower management skill.Educational RequirementsBachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical EngineeringDiploma in Engineering in Mechanical EngineeringExperience RequirementsAt least 10 year(s)The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):AutomobileAdditional RequirementsGood analytical and problem-solving abilities.Knowledge of quality control tools, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes.Proficiency in MS Office and preparation of production/MIS reports.Effective communication and coordination skills.Ability to work under pressure and achieve production targets within deadlines.The candidate should have experience on Automobile or Similar industry.Job LocationGazipur
