Manager Finance - UAE

Purpose:To scrutinize accounting data and ensure its correctness & authenticity in the system and timely submission of periodic reports/returns to HO/Central Bank/other Regulatory Authorities in order to meet the timelines.Key Accountabilities:Prepare quarterly financial statements of the branch and get it audited by the external auditorsPrepare and submit regulatory reports as required by the central bank and other regulatorsPrepare management and other reports as required by the country head and controlling offices at the head office; work with IT to automate the reports.Prepare financial and HR budget of the branch as required by the head officeTrack expenses and other KPIs of the branch against budget, and suggest ways to reduce expenses and meet budgetCoordinate with the external, internal audit and central bank inspection teamWork with other units of the branch and head office for quick closure of the audit observationsLiaison with ICFR unit, Finance Division, to prepare process flows and perform test of controls.Liaison with GL proofing unit, Finance Division, for GL balancing, reconciliation and identifying amount at risk.Maintain and update fixed asset register of the branchProcess expenses in accordance with the bank’s Expenditure Policy.Posting all HR related costs, staff salary, bonuses etc.Deposit WHT and VAT with the Central Bank/regulatory authority and ensure regulatory compliance.Sort the vouchers, seal and maintain the custodianship of it. Reconcile the vouchers with daily activities.Monitor and reconcile sundry debtors/creditors accounts periodically and ensure reconciliation of all the items.Reconciliation of all Interbank, Central Bank and Branch/ HO related entries.Minimum Qualifications:Graduation / Master’s degree in Finance or accounting.Relevant professional certification would be added advantage.Minimum Experience:08 years of finance and accounting experience in the banking sector, including at least 3 years in positions involving managerial responsibilities.Job Specific Skills:Excellent numerical and analytical skills.Good communication skills.Working knowledge of MS Office.Good knowledge of banking products.In depth knowledge of international financial and accounting standards and protocols.Good regulatory and compliance knowledge such as relevant local and international laws and regulations like Central Bank guidelines.Languages: English and Urdu is mandatory.Excellent Leadership skills
