Job Purpose The FairPrice Group Chain Business Unit (FPG SC BU) is a key logistics service provider to NTUC FairPrice Group. You will be a key member contributing towards the Mobility Planning & Operations department with a specific mandate to lead Future Mobility & Sustainability. This position will be responsible for defining the future of our transport network by deploying Autonomous Vehicle (AV) technology and leading the fleet transition to Electric Vehicles (EV). You will ensure these transformations are operationally viable, integrated with our systems, and aligned with our corporate sustainability goals.ResponsibilitiesEV Fleet Transition & Sustainability: Lead the strategic roadmap for converting the commercial fleet from Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) to Electric Vehicles (EV) to achieve carbon emission reduction targets.Charging Infrastructure Strategy: Design and execute the charging infrastructure network plan, including depot-based charging and public network partnerships, ensuring power capacity and hardware meet operational uptime requirements.Operational Viability Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analysis of route data (mileage, dwell time, payload) to match the right EV models to specific logistics lanes, ensuring no disruption to service levels (e.g., managing range anxiety and charging downtime).AV Strategy & Deployment: Lead the end-to-end deployment of Autonomous Vehicles across various logistics use cases (e.g., yard automation, middle-mile trunking and last mile) and integrate them into the daily workflow.Drive the 5 year AV strategy ensuring real time deployment and integration with our WMS and TMS systems.Process Redesign & Future Workforce: Redefine operational process flows to accommodate a mixed fleet (EV/AV/ICE); design new workstreams and training for the workforce to operate high-tech vehicles.Regulatory & Grants Management: Act as the primary liaison with regulators for AV compliance and approvals; collaborate with agencies to secure funding for green mobility and automation projects.System Integration: Oversee the integration of EV battery management data and AV telematics into the central Transport Management System (TMS) for real-time visibility. RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCEMinimum 5 years of experience in Transport/Logistics, with a specific focus on Green Mobility (EVs), Autonomous Technology, or Fleet Transformation.Strong understanding of the AV technology stack (sensors, LiDAR, perception software) and its operational limitations/requirements.Deep understanding of Electric Vehicle technology (Battery types, range management) and Charging Infrastructure (Power load management, DC/AC chargers).Proven skills in Process Mapping and Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) to design future-state workflows.Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.Strong leadership qualities to negotiate and exercise influence when managing internal stakeholders and external partners. Excellent reporting and documentation skills to ensure timely, clear, and concise information flow among all project stakeholders.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to a diverse range of audiences/stakeholders and deliver difficult messages whilst maintaining buy-in.
