In addition, RED has been selected as the camera of choice in 3 major productions, winning 2 Oscars and 3 Emmys in the cinematography category.RED Digital Cinema is seeking a Manager, Global Trade & Logistics to lead the day-to-day execution of our global import/export compliance and international logistics activities.This role will manage a small team responsible for import and export operations and will work closely with Supply Chain, Finance, Sales Operations, Sales, Legal, Product, Engineering, Manufacturing, Service, Quality, and Nikon teams to ensure products, components, service materials, demo equipment, and applicable technical information move throughout RED's global network in a compliant, timely, reliable, and cost-effective manner.The Manager will serve as RED's primary internal point of contact for routine global trade and logistics matters. The successful candidate should have a strong working knowledge of import/export compliance and international logistics, but is not expected to be the technical authority on every complex regulatory matter. RED utilizes external trade-compliance specialists and other resources for specialized regulatory interpretation and complex matters.This is an opportunity for an experienced global trade professional who is ready to lead a small team, take broader ownership of a global trade program, and continue developing as a people and business leader.Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Lead and develop a small team responsible for RED's day-to-day import and export activities and trade compliance policies, procedures, records, audit readiness, etc.Manage routine global trade compliance activities, including U.S. import and export requirements, EAR, ITAR, U.S. Customs, sanctions, and restricted-party controls.Maintain and coordinate HTS, ECCN, USML, country-of-origin, and customs valuation determinations and supporting records.Coordinate export licenses, technical-data controls, and other required trade authorizations, engaging external specialists when appropriate.Monitor relevant regulatory and tariff changes and communicate potential business impact to appropriate stakeholders.Manage customs brokers, freight forwarders, FedEx, UPS, and other international logistics providers.Support international routing, customs clearance, shipment execution, and resolution of import/export or transportation issues.Develop and lead cost-improvement projects related to transportation, duty, tariffs, carrier programs, brokerage, and international shipping practices.Partner with Supply Chain to understand the tariff, country-of-origin, customs, and landed-cost implications of sourcing decisions.Partner with Sales and Sales Operations to support international customer, distributor, demo, and service shipments.Partner with Product, Engineering Legal on trade classification and technical-data requirements associated with new products and product changes.Establish and monitor meaningful trade and logistics KPIs, including cost, service, compliance, and responsiveness.Identify risks early, communicate practical options, recommend a path forward, and drive issues through resolution.Cross-Functional LeadershipA key requirement of this role is the ability to work effectively across functional and organizational boundaries.The Manager will partner regularly with Finance, Legal, Sales Operations, Supply Chain, Product, and Engineering teams.The successful candidate should be able to balance regulatory requirements with business needs and provide clear, practical guidance that supports informed and timely decision-making.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.Approximately 5–8 years of progressive experience in global trade, import/export compliance, customs, international logistics, supply chain, or a related discipline.Experience within a manufacturing, electronics, technology, aerospace, medical-device, or other product-based organization strongly preferred.Working knowledge of U.S. Customs requirements, EAR and export controls, HTS classification, ECCN classification, country of origin, customs valuation, sanctions, and restricted-party screening.Exposure to ITAR strongly preferred; deep ITAR subject-matter expertise is not required.Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, parcel carriers, and international logistics providers.Demonstrated analytical ability related to freight, duties, tariffs, brokerage, or landed-cost analysis.Strong Excel and reporting skills; experience with ERP or global trade-management systems preferred.Previous people-management, supervisory, team-lead, or project-lead experience preferred.
