The Team Global Traffic & Trade Compliance (GTTC) is part of the Operations organization at Cognex. With teams in USA, Mexico, Ireland, Korea, Japan, and China; GTTC defines and manages the processes & information necessary to yield best in class quality, delivery & cost for our companywide logistics requirements.The roleReporting to the Director of Global Inventory, the GTTC Manager will work closely with the Supply, Distribution & Quality teams in Cork and our other international locations. The purpose of this role is to be the day-to-day lead in all operational, traffic, and trade-related matters in India. The ideal candidate will be a team player and solution-focused.Essential Functions· Leadership and performance management of the Noida Operations team· Documentation and setup of critical processes for India distribution center· Support successful Go Live for the India distribution center· Direct distribution center operation to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives.· Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers.· Recommend optimal freight transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency.· Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, or training or safety records.· Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues.· Monitor product import or export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities· Detail-oriented with a very high level of accuracy.· Demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines.· Ability to work independently and communicate with all levels of the organization and customers.· Computer-savvy, preferably with a working knowledge of logistics software, SAP· Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel.· Good analytical skills with the ability to present analysis of data.Minimum education and work experience required· Minimum 10 years relevant operational experience in traffic or logistics· India-specific import and domestic traffic/logistics experience is critical· Experience with SVB is preferred· BS/BA in business administration, supply chain management is preferred
