We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and well-being, equal employment opportunities and policies that are benchmark for work-life balance.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Capex Management: Manage procurement for plant expansions, new machinery, tooling, fixtures, and automation equipment. Prepare RFQs, negotiate with OEMs, and track project timelines.Consumables & Spares: Source and procure items such as welding electrodes, paints, lubricants, maintenance/production spares, and packaging materials. Maintain inventory norms and minimize stockouts.Vendor Development: Develop a vendor base for automotive-grade suppliers. Conduct vendor audits, performance reviews, and establish Annual Rate Contracts (ARC) for high-volume items.Cost Optimization: Prepare cost estimates, should-cost analysis, and savings reports. Drive VA/VE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) initiatives and negotiate payment terms, warranties, and SLAs.Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, IT, Finance, and Plants for indents, approvals, and GRN. Ensure SAP MM compliance and audit readiness.Market Monitoring: Monitor market prices for steel, commodities, and utilities. Mitigate risks related to forex fluctuations and supply disruptions.Education - BE / B Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering (Full Time)Experience - 12 to 15 years’ experience in automotive OEM.
