Location: Fort Mill, SCSchedule: Onsite, Monday–FridayCompensation: $150,000–$175,000 base salary + annual bonus opportunityPosition OverviewOur client is seeking a Manager, Information Security Operations to lead and strengthen its security operations and cyber defense capabilities.

This is a highly visible leadership role for a security professional who enjoys being both technically engaged and strategically minded.The Manager will own incident response and cyber defense, provide leadership to the security operations team, and remain hands-on with security technologies and tools. This individual will identify security gaps, improve processes and controls, strengthen the organization's overall security posture, and help ensure security operations effectively support the business.The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in information security operations along with the ability to translate technical security concepts into practical business solutions. Just as importantly, this person must be a collaborative leader who can build strong relationships across Security Operations, Security Engineering, Networking, IT, and business operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the organization's Information Security Operations and cyber defense functions, including incident response, threat detection, continuous monitoring, threat management, and security investigations.Serve as a key leader during security incidents, coordinating response activities and driving incidents through resolution and post-incident improvement.Lead, mentor, and develop a team of cybersecurity professionals while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.Remain technically engaged with the organization's security tools and technologies, ensuring solutions are properly implemented, configured, tuned, and optimized.Identify opportunities to improve security capabilities, processes, controls, and team efficiencies.Evaluate security gaps and risks and develop practical strategies to strengthen the organization's security and compliance posture.Partner closely with Security Engineering, Networking, IT, Operations, and other business stakeholders to ensure security initiatives enable rather than hinder business objectives.Oversee and monitor the performance and effectiveness of a 24/7 offshore security operations center, including KPIs, service quality, response effectiveness, and operational efficiency.Develop and monitor security operations metrics and KPIs, using data to identify trends, measure effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement.Provide security guidance related to technology investments, architecture, emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and evolving security practices.Stay current on emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies, including the evolving security implications of artificial intelligence and AI-enabled threats.Participate in strategic security initiatives and help develop short- and long-term roadmaps for improving security operations.Provide clear communication and reporting to leadership regarding security operations, incidents, risks, trends, and improvement initiatives.Support the development and continuous improvement of security policies, procedures, documentation, and incident response processes.What We're Looking For10+ years of experience in Information Security, with significant experience in security operations, engineering, cyber defense, or related disciplines.5+ years of information security leadership or management experience in a complex enterprise environment.Demonstrated experience leading security operations and incident response programs.Strong technical understanding of cybersecurity technologies, threat detection, network security, authentication, encryption, endpoint security, and security monitoring.Experience working directly with security technologies and the ability to clearly explain how tools were implemented and used to solve real security challenges.Demonstrated ability to investigate security incidents, coordinate response efforts, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.Experience managing third-party security providers, MSSPs, or other outsourced security services.Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing technical teams.Strong understanding of security operations metrics, KPIs, and service-level performance.Ability to identify security gaps and translate them into actionable improvements.Strong business acumen with the ability to balance security requirements with business needs.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, business leaders, and executive stakeholders.A collaborative leadership style with a focus on building relationships and enabling the business.Strong analytical, critical-thinking, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.Technology EnvironmentThe security organization utilizes a broad range of enterprise cybersecurity technologies and platforms.
