Job PurposeConduct complex internal investigations involving fraud, misconduct, regulatory breaches, ethical violations, and other risk events using investigative methodologies, evidential standards, and stakeholder collaboration to protect the Bank from financial, operational, legal, regulatory, and reputational risk while ensuring objective, legally defensible, and timely case resolution.Key Responsibilities• Lead complex internal investigations involving fraud, employee misconduct, corruption, bribery, conflicts of interest, whistleblowing matters, regulatory breaches, and ethical violations to establish facts and mitigate organizational risk.• Develop investigation strategies, define scope, identify evidential requirements, and execute investigation plans to ensure efficient and effective case management.• Collect, analyze, preserve, and evaluate documentary, financial, digital, electronic, and physical evidence to support objective and legally defensible investigation outcomes.• Conduct investigative interviews with employees, contractors, vendors, customers, witnesses, and other relevant parties to obtain reliable information and substantiate investigative findings.• Prepare comprehensive investigation reports containing facts, analysis, findings, conclusions, root causes, and recommendations to facilitate disciplinary, legal, regulatory, and management actions.• Collaborate with Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, Internal Audit, Risk Management, Information Security, regulators, and law enforcement authorities to ensure effective resolution of sensitive investigations.• Identify control weaknesses, governance gaps, policy deficiencies, and emerging fraud risks from investigative activities and recommend corrective actions to strengthen the Bank’s control environment.• Manage the overall budget and financial responsibilities of the department to ensure optimization of resources and cost, in line with the department s strategy.• Drive the creation of high-performance organization culture through automation and digitalization, to enhance department policies, procedures, technology infrastructure, operating capabilities and service delivery to surpass internal or external customer expectations.• Review team performance and deliverables in line with the approved KPI’s to ensure meeting desired objectives.• Mentor, train and develop team skills by identifying training needs and assigning appropriate learning platforms to the team.• Ensure compliance with the approved policies, procedures, SLAs and regulatory requirements to maintain quality standards and ensure risk mitigation.• Ensure all assigned tasks and projects are executed within the approved policies, procedures and SLAs of the department.Job ComplexityAbility to Reviews and analyze the results arising from assignment planning, testing performed and identifying cause of systems failures, potential affects and action necessary to remedy situations. Ability to ensure that fraud investigation findings are presented in a positive and constructive form.Ability to advise a concerned stakeholder immediately for corrective action in case of material findings where written/ verbal commentary would be necessary. Ability to input/suggestions for amendment to fraud investigation approach/programs.Ability to keep informed about improvements and current developments in banking environment, and in internal auditing, Fraud examining & risk management standards, procedures, techniques and assists staff in assimilating the GRM environment.Ability to provide fraud investigation recommendations to improve the controls, provisions and operational losses. Performing work more efficiently to reduce the departmental costs etc. and effectively to produce quality deliverables.Ability to ensure that engagements are performed in a systematic, disciplined manner and with due professional care and efficiency within defined time frame.Ability to drive forward and co-ordinate a number of concurrent projects and tasks, managing competing demands.EducationMinimum Bachelor’s DegreeMaster’s Degree in a relevant discipline. • Professional certifications such as CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), CAMS, CCEP, ACAMS, CIA, CPA, ICA Certification, or equivalent investigative, compliance, audit, or forensic qualificationWork ExperienceMinimum 6-8 years of auditing financial/other sectors - preferably three years in a banking environment at senior position.
