Manager – IT Infrastructure & Engineering PlatformsLocation: Middle EastEmployment Type: PermanentRole SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Manager – IT Infrastructure & Engineering Platforms to lead the design, deployment and operation of secure, high-performance engineering infrastructure for a next-generation aerospace programme. This role is responsible for cloud platforms, HPC environments, engineering systems, networking, storage, disaster recovery and infrastructure operations that support advanced aerospace design, development and certification activities.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and manage secure sovereign cloud infrastructure with strong security, scalability and data residency compliance.Build and operate HPC environments supporting engineering workloads such as FEA and CFD.Deploy and support PLM, EDMS and MBSE platform infrastructure.Manage engineering compute environments, including VDI, workstations, software deployment and licensing.Own networking, storage, backup, disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities.Lead infrastructure projects from architecture through operational handover.Collaborate with engineering, DevSecOps, quality and configuration management teams.Manage technology vendors and third-party suppliers.Lead and mentor a small infrastructure team while remaining technically hands-on.Required Qualifications15+ years of IT infrastructure experience.5+ years supporting engineering computing environments within aerospace, defence or similar industries.Strong experience with cloud infrastructure in secure or sovereign environments.Proven expertise in HPC cluster design and operations.Experience supporting PLM or EDMS platforms.Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, storage, backup and disaster recovery.Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting aerospace certification programmes.MBSE platform deployment and administration experience.Experience in classified or highly regulated environments.Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools.Join an innovative aerospace programme and lead the delivery of mission-critical infrastructure that enables the development of advanced aerospace systems.
