Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob PurposeManage the operation and maintenance of Dubai’s maritime transport systems to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-efficient services. Oversee fleet operations, scheduling, and fleet maintenance while ensuring compliance with RTA’s quality, safety, and asset lifecycle standards. Drive service excellence, sustainability, and continuous improvement across all marine transport modes.Roles and ResponsibilitiesStrategyDevelop and lead the implementation of strategic and operational plans for maritime transport operations and maintenance aligned with RTA’s objectives.Establish operational boundaries, technical standards, and performance KPIs to ensure safe and efficient asset utilization.Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts for marine operations and maintenance, monitoring expenditures and recommending adjustments.Define goals, initiatives, and key performance indicators to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.Develop contingency and emergency response plans to ensure continuity and sustainability of the maritime transport network.OperationsOversee the implementation of marine transport operations and maintenance in line with optimal asset lifecycle strategies.Govern the preparation and management of daily operational schedules for marine services and adjust them per customer demand and strategic plans.Supervise the execution of operation and maintenance contracts, ensuring service providers meet technical and contractual specifications.Monitor and improve fleet utilization and operational efficiency through effective preventive maintenance programs.Review operational reports and analyze schedule performance to identify gaps and recommend improvement actions.Coordinate with authorities, developers, and stakeholders for operational planning, maintenance activities, and network expansion.Govern the drawing and approval of safe maritime routes and ensure their registration on navigational charts in coordination with concerned authorities.Manage the quality and safety of heritage abra operations, including crowd management and maintenance of stations and craft.Oversee evaluation of applications and issuance of permits for maritime transport activities in accordance with RTA regulations.Ensure readiness of all systems, monitor revenue collection processes, and maintain security and automation standards.Review audit of advertisements across terminals and marine assets to ensure compliance with RTA policies.Product/Process ImprovementGovern the preparation and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans to sustain asset readiness and optimize lifecycle performance.Oversee continuous development and improvement of maintenance methods and procedures to maximize resource utilization.Evaluate departmental reports and performance metrics to ensure operational risks are mitigated and process improvements executed.Manage workforce development, training, and job satisfaction initiatives to improve productivity and retention.Ensure compliance with RTA’s Code of Ethics, quality, and HSE standards in all operational activities.Job Qualifications & RequirementsEducation – Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree (Preferred : Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Maritime Operations)Experience – 12+ years in case of Master's degree (14+years in case of bachelor's degree)Certifications - Project Management Professional (PMP), NEBOSH International General Certificate, Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP)
