Our platform supports healthcare organizations through innovative software solutions designed to improve operational efficiency, clinical workflows, revenue cycle management, and the overall delivery of healthcare services.We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our growing technology organization and provide technical leadership, people management, and execution oversight across multiple software development initiatives.Position SummaryThe Engineering Manager will lead and develop a team of software engineers while working closely with Product Management, Engineering leadership, QA, and other business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable, secure, and reliable healthcare technology solutions.This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership ability, project execution, and people management skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced SaaS environment and will have experience guiding engineering teams through the full software development lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering Leadership- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers.- Establish engineering standards, development practices, and technical processes.- Provide technical guidance and support to engineers when addressing complex development challenges.- Review architectural and technical decisions and ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and secure.- Promote engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, documentation, version control, and CI/CD.- Identify technical risks and work proactively to resolve them.Product & Project Delivery- Partner closely with Product Management to translate business and product requirements into technical solutions.- Participate in product planning, technical discovery, estimation, prioritization, and roadmap discussions.- Ensure engineering projects are delivered on time and meet defined quality standards.- Monitor project progress, identify blockers, and coordinate resources to maintain delivery schedules.- Balance short-term delivery requirements with long-term technical scalability and maintainability.- Collaborate with QA and other teams to ensure production-ready releases.People Management- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, provide coaching, and support employee development.- Establish clear expectations and performance goals for engineering team members.- Provide ongoing feedback and participate in performance evaluations.- Identify training and professional development opportunities.- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and retaining engineering talent.- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.Healthcare Technology & Security- Ensure engineering practices align with applicable healthcare technology, privacy, security, and compliance requirements.- Work with security and compliance teams to address application security and data protection requirements.- Promote secure software development practices, particularly when handling sensitive healthcare information.- Support appropriate documentation and controls related to healthcare SaaS applications.Cross-Functional Collaboration- Work closely with Product Management, QA, DevOps, Security, Customer Success, and other departments.- Communicate technical concepts and project status effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.- Help resolve cross-functional issues and establish clear ownership and accountability.- Represent Engineering in relevant business and product discussions.Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.- 2+ years of engineering management or technical leadership experience.- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and the full SDLC.- Experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining SaaS applications.- Experience with modern software development frameworks, APIs, databases, cloud technologies, and development tools.- Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, performance, and application security.- Experience working with Agile/Scrum or similar development methodologies.- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills.- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.- Experience working in healthcare technology, healthcare SaaS, EHR, practice management, RCM, or related industries.- Experience working with HIPAA-regulated environments or other healthcare privacy and security requirements.- Experience managing distributed or multi-location engineering teams.- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, monitoring, and production support.- Experience working with AI/ML technologies or integrating AI capabilities into SaaS products.- Experience leading teams through significant product growth, modernization, or platform transformation.What We Offer- Opportunity to lead engineering initiatives within a growing healthcare technology organization.- Opportunity to work on products that directly support healthcare providers and organizations.- Collaborative and technology-focused work environment.- Professional growth and leadership development opportunities.- Competitive compensation and benefits package.- Opportunity to work with modern SaaS, cloud, automation, and emerging technology platforms.ConfidentialityThe company name and certain organizational details have been intentionally omitted from this job description due to the confidential nature of the recruitment process.
