The OpportunityWe are looking for an experienced and energetic Manager of Operations to lead the day-to-day operations of JAG Hotel.Reporting to the General Manager, the Manager of Operations ensures the hotel runs smoothly, teams are supported and accountable, and guests receive the exceptional experience JAG is known for.This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, develops people, solves problems, and understands that great hospitality starts with a great team. What You'll Do· Lead the day-to-day operations of Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Wellness, Guest Services, and Food & Beverage when required.· Provide visible leadership and ensure hotel standards are consistently met or exceeded.· Lead, coach, develop, and hold managers and employees accountable for performance.· Partner with Human Resources on recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, and retention.· Champion the guest experience by monitoring feedback, addressing concerns, and driving service improvements.· Support budgeting, forecasting, expense management, and overall financial performance.· Collaborate with the General Manager and leadership team on pricing, inventory, revenue, and operational strategies.· Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety requirements, and applicable regulations.· Oversee and participate in the Occupational Health and Safety Committee.· Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, and other teams to achieve hotel goals.· Provide leadership during major events, high-occupancy periods, and other operationally demanding situations.· Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service, employee experience, and overall hotel performance. What We're Looking For· Progressive management experience in the hotel or hospitality industry.· Experience leading multiple departments and large teams.· Strong understanding of hotel operations and guest service.· Proven leadership, coaching, and people-development skills.· Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance.· Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.· Experience with hotel openings, expansions, or major operational initiatives is an asset.· Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field is an asset.· Most importantly, a genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences.
