Our client is seeking a Manager, Program Management Office (PMO) to help drive a portfolio of strategic, cross-functional business improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on PMO role focused on ensuring key programs stay on track and deliver measurable financial and operational value.The ideal candidate combines strong program management and PMO experience with business and financial acumen. This individual will work across business units and functions to track performance, manage risks and dependencies, monitor financial results, and provide clear reporting and insights to senior and executive leadership.This is a business-focused PMO role, not an IT or systems implementation position.This position is onsite in the Irvine / Newport Beach, CA area.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and coordinate multiple complex, cross-functional strategic and business improvement initiatives.Track KPIs, timelines, risks, dependencies, budgets, and overall program performance across workstreams.Identify roadblocks and performance gaps, escalate risks, and help drive corrective actions.Develop executive dashboards, scorecards, KPIs, and portfolio reporting to communicate progress and results.Partner closely with Finance to track budgets, forecast variances, business cases, investment decisions, and value realization.Consolidate program reporting and insights for senior leadership and Board-level discussions.Coordinate leadership reviews and ensure initiative owners remain accountable for key deliverables.Establish and improve PMO standards, governance, templates, methodologies, and reporting practices.Support organizational change initiatives and coordinate across business units, functions, and geographic locations.Partner with external consultants, vendors, and other stakeholders supporting strategic initiatives.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Engineering, or a related discipline.5+ years of experience in complex program management, PMO, portfolio management, business transformation, or a related area.Demonstrated experience managing multiple cross-functional initiatives and stakeholder groups.Strong understanding of PMO governance, risk management, KPIs, dependencies, and program performance.Strong financial acumen, including an understanding of financial reporting, budgets, forecasts, EBITDA, margins, business cases, and value realization.Ability to work independently and drive accountability across functions without direct authority.Experience developing executive-level dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting.Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting/data visualization tools is preferred.PMP or comparable certification preferred.Experience within manufacturing, agriculture, chemicals, life sciences, or another operationally intensive industry preferred.Public company experience is a plus.
