Our portfolio, valued at over AED 284+ billion, spans 10 sectors, including real estate, hospitality, leisure & entertainment, ICT, design, education, media, retail, manufacturing & logistics, and science.For the Good of TomorrowDubai Holding is looking to hire a Manager – Portfolio Operations and Intelligence.The role holder is responsible for supporting leading on several activities including strategic, financial, and commercial analyses, developing business cases, and supporting documentation, and producing executive-level presentations to enable management to make informed decisions on key strategic and operational initiatives and matters. The role holder is responsible for executing and improving DHI’s core portfolio operations, intelligence, strategy and value creation activities across Dubai Holding Investments (DHI), including investment process enhancement, portfolio data and KPI management, dashboard and reporting enhancement, transformation and value creation initiative identification, management, tracking and analytical support. The role works with investment teams and enabling functions to help identify and drive execution of transformation and vale creation initiatives, ensure information is complete, consistent, timely and decision-useful for management and committee review. The role supports the investment platform and does not execute transactions, manage funds, own financial reporting or perform day-to-day asset management.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Process, Governance & IC Enablement
- Coordinate and support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of investment and portfolio management lifecycle processes, initiatives, templates, quality gates, decision logs and post-approval tracking.
- Coordinate and support cross functional workshops to identify bottle necks and solutions to diver efficiencies and capture value creation from such initiatives
- Perform data analysis on investment and portfolio management related processed and data
- Maintain projects trackers; follow up with owners and flag overdue or incomplete items.
- Document and update process maps, procedures, playbooks and standard templates.Portfolio Oversight & Performance Intelligence
- Analyse portfolio performance, exposure, concentration, risk and strategic KPI information across investments to identify ways to drive continuous improvement
- Support periodic portfolio reviews and thematic deep dives by identifying trends, variances, outliers, emerging risks and data gaps.
- Maintain early-warning indicators and prepare concise commentary on key movements and management implications.
- Reconcile analytical outputs to approved source data and retain clear supporting evidence and audit trails.Investment Data, Analytics & Reporting Enablement
- Maintain portfolio data dictionaries, KPI definitions, reporting structures and business rules in line with agreed governance.
- Help identify ways to improve data collection and validation with investment teams and relevant functions; investigate exceptions and implement remediation.
- Produce and enhance dashboards, management reports and committee materials for CIO and executive audiences.
- Document business requirements and perform user acceptance testing for portfolio systems, reporting tools and automation initiatives.Portfolio Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Map recurring workflows, identify root causes of delay or rework, and propose practical simplification and automation opportunities.
- Support implementation of agreed investment policies and processes, monitoring standards and post-investment review disciplines.
- Capture lessons learned, implement and monitor improvement actions.
- Maintain process controls, version history and evidence of approvals for assigned deliverables.Stakeholder Coordination & Delivery
- Coordinate inputs across investment teams, Finance, Business Affairs & Governance, Risk, Legal, Technology & Data and other stakeholders.
- Manage assigned deliverables to agreed timelines, communicate dependencies clearly and escalate risks early.
- Prepare concise, accurate and visually clear analyses and presentations for senior review.
- Support external consultants and technology or data providers by coordinating requirements, information and deliverables.Who we are looking for:
- Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience in institutional investment operations, strategy and value creation teams.
- Hands-on experience preparing portfolio analysis, management reports, governance trackers, process documentation or data-quality outputs.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional workstreams involving operating models, process, technology, and governance improvement.
- Experience in an asset owner, sovereign wealth fund, private equity platform, investment organisation, Big Four or management consulting environment is preferred.Education / Professional Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Engineering, Data/Analytics or a related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualification or relevant professional certification such as CFA, CA/CPA, FRM, PMP, Lean Six Sigma or data/BI certification is advantageous.Technical Competencies:
- Understanding of investment portfolios, performance metrics, governance processes and management reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to reconcile data, identify trends and explain variances accurately.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint capability; experience with Power BI, portfolio systems, workflow tools or data platforms is advantageous.
- Ability to produce clear dashboards, reports, process maps, requirements and executive presentations.
- Good data-management discipline, attention to detail and understanding of controls, versioning and audit trails.
