Manager - PR & Communications

Manage SEVEN's PR and communications activity within the Commercial Division's Marketing function, within the PR & Events unit. Implement PR, media relations, corporate communications, openings and events, and outbound sponsorship activations to protect and grow SEVEN's reputation and brand visibility. Accountabilities 1. Implement the approved PR and external communication plans across SEVEN's destinations and attractions to strengthen brand visibility and reputation. 2. Manage media relations and media monitoring activity to secure accurate, timely coverage and to flag reputational issues early. 3. Develop corporate communication content and messaging in line with SEVEN's brand guidelines to keep external narratives consistent. 4. Facilitate PR and communication delivery for openings and events with internal teams and external partners to support successful launches. 5. Coordinate outbound sponsorship activations with Marketing and Commercial stakeholders to deliver agreed brand and partnership outcomes. 6. Apply media and channel selection to campaigns and announcements to reach target audiences effectively. 7. Track and report PR and media effectiveness to the Senior Manager - PR & Communications to support informed communication decisions. Managerial Accountabilities 1. Coach and develop PR & Events team members to build capability in PR, media relations, communications and event delivery. 2. Manage work allocation, performance objectives and reviews within the PR & Events unit to sustain consistent, accountable delivery. 3. Implement delegated budget and vendor controls for PR, events and sponsorship activations to keep spend within approved limits. 4. Apply SEVEN's communication governance, approval and escalation routines within the unit to protect reputation and reduce risk. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or a related field. Preferred (any one): CIPR Professional PR Diploma (Chartered Institute of Public Relations); APR - Accreditation in Public Relations (PRSA); CMP - Communication Management Professional (GCCC / IABC). Minimum 7 years of total experience in a relevant field. Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
