Apply & track with Apply EdgePurpose/Introduction:To manage the Process Engineering, Technology, and Sustainability functions to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant facilities while driving continuous improvement, decarbonization, and energy efficiency initiatives. The role provides integrated technical leadership across process integrity, process safety, technology deployment, sustainability, and operational excellence, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and long‑term competitiveness. The role is accountable for translating technology and sustainability strategies into executable plant‑level solutions, providing high‑quality technical support to Operations, and maintaining effective coordination with licensors, corporate stakeholders, and external partners.
Responsibilities
Performs the activities, may include but not limited to:Lead and manage Process Engineering, Technology, and Sustainability activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant facilities.Provide integrated technical leadership to Production to improve process capability, efficiency, yield, quality, and equipment utilization.Formulate and implement strategies for process integrity management, plant safeguarding systems, and pressure relief devices integrity in coordination with Maintenance and EHS.Manage process safety reviews for plant operations, Management of Change (MOC) activities, and new or modified projects.Govern equipment operating parameters, technical limits, and engineering controls to ensure safe and optimal operating conditions.Drive equipment reliability, availability, and efficiency improvement initiatives through performance monitoring and benchmarking studies.Lead the identification, evaluation, and implementation of energy efficiency, emissions reduction, and sustainability initiatives across the organization.Manage plant‑wide data analytics, performance monitoring, and benchmarking programs (e.g., Solomon, Philip Townsend) to assess competitiveness, set performance targets, and track improvement progress.Translate sustainability and decarbonization strategies into executable engineering solutions and operational improvements.Develop and drive an organization’s energy efficiency strategy aligned with SEEC requirements and ISO 50001 principles; lead initiatives to achieve energy performance targets and manage a robust Measurement & Verification (M&V) framework, including energy baseline tracking, EnPI monitoring, and implementation of energy projects to ensure sustained compliance and continual improvement.Lead and coordinate ISO 50001 Energy Management System (EnMS) implementation and surveillance audits, ensuring effective system deployment, audit readiness, compliance with standard requirements, and timely closure of audit findings.Develop and publish the annual Sustainability Report, ensuring high standards of accuracy, completeness, and alignment with corporate, regulatory, ESG, and EnMS reporting requirements.Establish, implement, and continuously track the site decarbonization roadmap, integrating energy transition, emissions reduction initiatives, and process optimization to achieve long term carbon reduction objectives.Endorse technical documents related to equipment operation, maintenance, process changes, projects, and vendor selection.Lead and approve process optimization projects, production trials, troubleshooting activities, and technology deployment initiatives.Plan, scope, and manage small to medium engineering and capital projects, including cost control and funding acquisition.Maintain strong technical engagement with technology licensors, SEEC, and other external stakeholders.Serve as the technical approver for Non‑Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and ensure confidentiality of proprietary and licensor technical information.Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements and actively promote a strong safety culture.Required Qualifications:Academic background includes a minimum of bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.+10 years of total experience.+4 years of progressive experience in leading process, sustainability and technology activities.
