The Manager – Product and Pricing, Road Freight is responsible for leading the development, implementation and governance of pricing strategies for UAE road freight and transport operations. The role owns the product framework and Pricing strategies across domestic and cross-border services, ensuring that rates are competitive, operationally deliverable and aligned with revenue, Cost and profitability objectives. The role provides strategic Product and Pricing guidance to commercial and operational leadership through analysis of market conditions, competitor activity (2PL and 3PL), customer requirements, fleet economics and route profitability. It works closely with Commercial, Operations, Fleet, Finance and Procurement to strengthen product penetration and uptake, pricing discipline, improve ebit margins and support sustainable business growth across the road freight network.Build and execute the road freight product strategy, including portfolio design, product roadmap, lane development, and customer value proposition. Grow road freight revenue and profitability by supporting commercial teams with pricing, solution design, cross-sell opportunities, and own margin development. Lead the development and implementation of pricing strategies across FTL, LTL, own and dedicated fleet, spot transportation and cross-border (to – from UAE) road freight services. Establish and where required innovate road freight solutions and products to position the company as Market leaders.ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain pricing frameworks (static and dynamic), rate cards, costing models, approval thresholds and governance processes to ensure consistency, transparency and commercial control.Own the end-to-end pricing process for strategic road freight tenders, RFQs, contract renewals and major customer opportunities, ensuring submissions are competitive, operationally viable and aligned with target margins.Work closely with Sales, KAMs, Operations, Pricing, and Procurement to convert customer requirements into scalable and profitable road freight solutions.Own product pricing frameworks, lane profitability, service-level design, and go-to-market support to improve revenue, gross profit, and market share.Provide pricing recommendations and commercial insights to senior management, including assessments of opportunity value, profitability, operational risk and required approval levels.Analyse UAE and GCC road freight market trends, competitor pricing, customer demand, trade-lane activity and capacity movements to identify growth and pricing opportunities.Develop comprehensive cost models covering fuel, tolls, driver costs, maintenance, leasing, asset depreciation, fleet utilisation, border charges and subcontractor rates.Partner with Operations and Fleet teams to validate operational assumptions, capacity requirements, service feasibility and route economics before finalising customer pricing.Drive improvements in revenue and margin performance through pricing reviews, customer and lane segmentation, route optimisation, yield management and value-added transport solutions.Monitor and report pricing and operational performance, including gross margin, revenue per truck, fleet utilisation, customer yield, lane profitability, quotation conversion and pricing leakage.Conduct regular post-award and post-implementation reviews to compare actual performance against pricing assumptions and implement corrective actions where required.Lead commercial negotiations relating to rates and pricing structures with customers, transport vendors, subcontractors and service providers.Develop mechanisms to manage pricing risks arising from fuel volatility, capacity constraints, border restrictions, regulatory changes, foreign exchange movements and other market conditions.Ensure pricing activities comply with DP World policies, delegated authority levels, contractual requirements, UAE transport regulations and applicable commercial governance standards.Build strong relationships with Commercial, Operations, Fleet, Finance and Procurement stakeholders and ensure pricing issues are resolved promptly and transparently.Develop pricing forecasts, management reports and performance dashboards to support planning, budgeting and executive decision-making.Lead, coach and develop product and pricing team members, as applicable, while establishing clear outcome based objectives, service standards and performance expectations.Continuously improve pricing tools, processes and data quality, including supporting the implementation and optimisation of transport management and pricing systems.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in road freight pricing, transport operations, freight forwarding or logistics, including at least 2–3 years in a managerial, team-lead or senior pricing role.Proven experience developing and implementing pricing strategies, costing frameworks, rate structures and commercial governance processes.Strong understanding of road freight cost structures, including fleet operating costs, fuel, tolls, maintenance, driver costs, leasing, utilisation, depreciation and subcontractor rates.Demonstrated experience managing pricing and margin performance across domestic and cross-border FTL, LTL and dedicated fleet services.Proven ability to lead the pricing component of complex tenders, RFQs, contract renewals and strategic customer proposals.Strong commercial negotiation experience with customers, transport vendors, subcontractors and service providers.Experience analysing pricing and operational KPIs, including gross margin, lane profitability, revenue per truck, fleet utilisation and customer yield.Advanced analytical and financial-modelling skills, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and pricing or business-intelligence tools.Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior commercial, operational and financial stakeholders.Previous experience in an asset-heavy logistics, transport or freight-management business.Strong knowledge of UAE and GCC road freight markets, transport regulations, border processes and cross-border trade corridors.Experience with transport management systems, pricing automation tools, telematics platforms, business-intelligence tools or revenue-optimisation systems.Experience using fleet-utilisation, route-optimisation and transport-productivity data to inform pricing decisions.Experience managing or developing pricing analysts or other commercial team members.Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, business planning and commercial performance reporting.Professional certification in supply chain, logistics, finance or commercial management would be an advantage.Required SkillsStrong understanding of road freight cost structures, including fleet operating costs, fuel, tolls, maintenance, driver costs, leasing, utilisation, depreciation and subcontractor rates.Preferred SkillsProfessional certification in supply chain, logistics, finance or commercial management would be an advantage.
