Designation -Manager / Assistant Manager – Purchasing / ProcurementCompany - Indian-based multinational bottle and glass manufacturing companyPackage - Upto 450K- 500K LKRLocation - Horana, Sri LankaOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Purchasing & Procurement professional with a strong engineering background to manage end-to-end local procurement activities for a leading manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate will have experience sourcing engineering materials, machinery, spare parts, and industrial consumables while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and uninterrupted plant operations.Key ResponsibilitiesManage 100% local procurement activities (Direct & Indirect Purchasing).Handle end-to-end sourcing, supplier negotiations, purchase orders, and delivery coordination.Procure engineering materials, machinery, spare parts, and plant consumables.Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while optimizing cost, quality, and delivery.Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, and Finance teams to support operational requirements.Monitor supplier performance and resolve procurement-related issues.Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive procurement process improvements.Ensure compliance with procurement policies and company standards.Prepare procurement reports and monitor purchasing KPIs.Pre-RequisitesBachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Process, Chemical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering (Mandatory).Minimum 2–3 years of experience at Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, or Manager level in Purchasing/Procurement.Strong experience in 100% local procurement covering both direct and indirect purchasing.Manufacturing industry experience is essential.Experience in glass, bottle, porcelain, ceramic, cement, tile, machinery, or similar heavy manufacturing industries is highly preferred.Strong negotiation, supplier management, and analytical skills.ERP/SAP knowledge will be an added advantage.Working HoursMonday – Friday (Normal Office Working Hours)
