As Henlius continues to build its U.S. commercial organization and prepares for a planned product launch in 2027, we are seeking an experienced, hands-on Manager/Senior Manager, U.S. Commercial Supply Chain.This role will establish and manage U.S. commercial supply-chain and distribution capabilities to support launch readiness and ongoing commercialization of Henlius products. The role will lead demand planning, inventory management, import logistics, warehousing and distribution operations, 3PL governance, supply-risk management, and cross-functional launch planning.As an early supply-chain hire in the United States, this individual will serve as a key operational bridge between global manufacturing and supply teams in Asia and U.S. commercial distribution partners. The successful candidate will be comfortable building processes in an evolving environment, managing external partners, and ensuring reliable, compliant, and cost-effective product availability for patients and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Planning & Forecasting: Partner with Commercial team to develop and maintain demand forecasts using market intelligence, customer demand signals, and launch assumptions. Establish inventory targets and safety-stock strategies that balance product availability, shelf-life, service levels, and working-capital requirements. Lead the U.S. demand-review process and provide input into global S&OP/IBP planning cycles.Inventory Monitoring & Order Fulfillment: Track product inventory levels across regional warehouses; Oversee order fulfillment, and distribution performance across approved commercial channels, including specialty distributors, wholesalers, healthcare providers, and other authorized customersCross-Border Coordination: Partner with global supply, manufacturing, Quality, and logistics teams to align production plans, release timelines, shipment schedules, validated transportation lanes, and U.S. inventory requirements.Import/Export & Trade Compliance: Oversee import logistics, customs clearance, broker management, trade compliance, and required shipping and regulatory documentation for product entering the United States. Ensure appropriate coordination with Quality and Regulatory on product release, importation requirements, and any applicable FDA requirements.Vendor & Carrier Management: Manage logistics, transportation, warehousing, and distribution service providers. Establish service-level agreements, KPIs, governance routines, and corrective-action plans to ensure service, quality, compliance, and cost objectives are achieved.3PL Setup & Management: Lead the selection, onboarding, qualification, and ongoing management of U.S. third-party logistics (3PL), warehousing, and distribution partners. Establish operational processes, governance models, KPIs, and escalation pathways in collaboration with Quality, Legal, Finance, and Commercial Operations.End-to-End Operational Setup: Design and implement local operational workflows for our core product lines, from factory exit in Asia to customer delivery in the Americas.Cost & Performance Optimization: Establish key performance metrics (OTIF, lead times, shrink, unit shipping costs) and continually optimize supply chain spend.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, operations, logistics, engineering, life sciences, or related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.5–8+ years of progressive supply chain, logistics, distribution, or commercial operations experience, including responsibility for physical product distribution in the United States or North America.Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, specialty pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated temperature-controlled product environmentsExperience with commercial product launch readiness or new-market operational setup.Demonstrated experience selecting, onboarding, and managing U.S. 3PL, warehousing, transportation, and/or specialty-distribution partners. Experience managing 3PL Quality Agreements and operational agreements.Strong knowledge of U.S. import procedures, customs regulations, customs-broker management, and trade-compliance requirements. Experience supporting international product shipments and cross-border distribution is preferred.Experience supporting recalls, returns, temperature excursions, product complaints, and reverse logistics is preferred.Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving organization and collaborate effectively across global time zones. Flexibility to participate in occasional early-morning or evening meetings is required.Experience with SAP or comparable ERP systems; experience with supply planning, warehouse-management, order-management, or serialization systems is preferred.Strong project-management and cross-functional stakeholder-management skills.Strong analytical skills, including Excel; Power BI/Tableau or other reporting tools, if applicable.APICS/ASCM certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD) or equivalent supply-chain certification is preferredMandarin Chinese language proficiency is preferred, but not requiredAbout HenliusHenlius (2696.HK) is a global biopharmaceutical company with the vision to offer high-quality, affordable and innovative biologic medicines for patients worldwide with a focus on oncology, autoimmune diseases and ophthalmic diseases.
