Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob PurposeThis role encompasses the primary responsibilities below:The role is responsible for leading and governing Oversee end-to-end card operations activities, including card issuance, activation, replacement, renewal, blocking, and closure processes and all reconciliation, settlement and payment processing activities across Mashreq Digital Bank’s Alternate Delivery Channels (ADC). It ensures financial accuracy, straight-through processing, regulatory compliance with the SBP PSD Framework, strong controls and operational resilience within a digital-only banking environment. The incumbent supports Mashreq’s first digital, customer-centric and risk-controlled operating model.Key Result AreasADC Reconciliation & Settlement Governance Manage card production, inventory control, personalization, and delivery processes in coordination with vendors and courier partners.Own end-to-end daily, intraday and month-end reconciliations for ATM and POS transactions under local and international schemes, including 1LINK and Mastercard; IBFT, RAAST, bill payments and Direct Biller payments; and ATM/CDM digital transactions.Ensure timely interbank, scheme and vendor settlements with zero financial leakage.Monitor and control suspense accounts, GL mismatches and aging reconciling items.Approve and track resolution of high-value, high-risk and aged exceptions.Payment Processing Operations Oversee end-to-end digital payment processing cycles, cut-offs, settlement windows and fallback procedures.Ensure uninterrupted processing across RAAST, 1LINK, card schemes and Direct Billers / fintech integrations.Establish governance for payment queues, reruns and exception handling.Ensure readiness for business continuity, DR drills and incident recovery.Risk, Compliance & Regulatory Alignment Ensure compliance with the SBP PSD Framework, SBP Digital Banking Regulations, AML/CFT and sanctions screening controls, Mashreq Group policies and DOA.Own unit-level RCSA, KRIs, incident reporting and loss event management.Lead closure of SBP, internal audit, external audit and group audit observations.Strengthen preventive and detective controls in a high-STP digital environment.MIS, Finance & Governance Review and sign off ADC reconciliation MIS, settlement reports, GL certifications and control dashboards.Coordinate with Finance on month-end and year-end closures, income and expense booking, and regulatory and management reporting.Provide accurate and timely reporting to senior management and Mashreq Group stakeholders.People & Performance Management Lead multiple teams handling reconciliation, settlements and payment operations.Set KPIs aligned with the Mashreq performance framework.Drive talent development, cross-skilling and succession planning.Embed ownership, accuracy, accountability and control discipline.Stakeholder & Vendor Management Act as senior operations SPOC for Digital Banking & IT, Risk, Compliance, ORM & Audit, Finance & Treasury, and Customer Experience.Manage third-party relationships with 1LINK, RAAST, Card schemes, switches, PSPs and fintech partners.Handle senior-level escalations related to settlement delays or reconciliation breaks.Process Excellence & Automation Drive automation, STP improvement and reconciliation tool optimization in line with Mashreq’s digital strategy.Reduce manual touchpoints and operational risk through workflow digitization.Lead operating models input for new product launches, UATs and system upgrades.Champion control-by-design in all new digital capabilities.Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Banking or Business.8–12+ years of banking operations experience.Strong hands-on expertise in ADC reconciliation, digital payments and settlements.Digital payments and clearing systems expertise.Financial controls and reconciliation mastery.Risk and audit leadership.Strategic mindset with execution discipline.
