Manager – Sourcing/Procurement (Watch Sourcing & Product Development )

Reed Recruitment Middle East is currently looking for Manager Sourcing and Product development for Dubai Location.The RoleWe are looking for a Watch Sourcing & Product Development professional with strong knowledge of the watch manufacturing ecosystem. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying and developing reliable suppliers for watch components, movements, assemblies and manufacturing/assembly partners to support the development of our in-house and independent watch brands.Roles and Responsibilities:Source and develop global suppliers for watch movements, components, assemblies and finished manufacturing requirements.Build and maintain a strong network across the complete watch supply chain, including movement manufacturers, component suppliers, case/dial/hand manufacturers, assembly partners and other specialist vendors.Identify the right suppliers, locations and markets for each component based on quality, pricing, capabilities and lead times.Identify and evaluate Swiss, Far East and other international assembly partners for watch production.Benchmark suppliers and negotiate competitive pricing, quality and commercial terms.Stay abreast of global watch industry trends, manufacturing developments, movements and emerging suppliers/technologies.Support the development of new watches by advising on component sourcing, manufacturing feasibility, supplier capabilities and production locations.Conduct overseas supplier research and engagement, including travel where required.Build long-term strategic relationships with key manufacturers and suppliers.Candidate ProfileExperience in watch sourcing, watch manufacturing, product development or procurement within the watch industry.Strong understanding of the end-to-end watch manufacturing ecosystem and global supplier landscape.Good knowledge of watch movements and movement suppliers, as well as watch components and assemblies.Existing network of international watch manufacturers, component suppliers and assembly houses will be highly advantageous.Strong commercial understanding with the ability to assess quality, pricing, supplier capabilities and manufacturing locations.Global sourcing mindset with exposure to Switzerland, China/Far East and other key watch manufacturing markets.Passionate about watches and well-informed about current industry trends and developments.
