This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies across electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, and other production materials while delivering improvements in cost, quality, supply continuity, and supplier performance.As a strategic leader, you will lead and develop a team of sourcing professionals while partnering closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and other business functions. You will influence product and sourcing decisions, build strong global supplier relationships, identify opportunities for cost and supply optimization, and ensure sourcing strategies support business and product objectives.This is a highly collaborative leadership role with significant impact on our global supply chain, manufacturing performance, and long-term business strategy.What You Will Be DoingStrategic Sourcing & Cost LeadershipDevelop and execute the global sourcing strategy for direct materials, aligning sourcing priorities with business objectives, product roadmaps, and manufacturing requirementsEstablish and deliver annual and multi-year cost-reduction objectives through strategic sourcing, negotiations, supplier optimization, and total-cost-of-ownership initiativesLead strategic negotiations and long-term supplier agreements to improve cost, quality, capacity, flexibility, and overall supplier valueIdentify opportunities for supplier consolidation, competitive bidding, should-cost analysis, and other cost optimization strategiesMonitor market conditions, supplier capacity, material availability, and other external factors that may impact cost or supplyReport sourcing performance, savings, supplier risks, and opportunities to senior leadershipTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop a team of sourcing professionals responsible for direct-material categoriesEstablish clear goals, performance expectations, development plans, and career paths for team membersBuild sourcing capabilities, processes, tools, and best practices across the organizationAllocate responsibilities and resources to effectively support business prioritiesFoster a high-performing, collaborative, and accountable team aligned with Stratasys valuesSupplier & Risk ManagementDevelop and maintain strategic relationships with key global suppliersLead executive-level supplier reviews and negotiationsIdentify, assess, and mitigate supply risks, including capacity constraints, allocations, supplier financial concerns, end-of-life materials, geopolitical risks, and single-source dependenciesPartner with suppliers to improve quality, delivery, cost, capacity, innovation, and overall performanceDevelop and execute supplier risk mitigation and business continuity strategiesCross-Functional LeadershipPartner with Engineering and Product teams during new product introduction (NPI) to influence sourcing decisions, supplier selection, design-for-cost, and manufacturabilityCollaborate with Operations and Manufacturing to ensure sourcing strategies support production requirements and supply continuityPartner with Quality to address supplier performance and quality issuesWork with Finance to establish sourcing targets, validate savings, and support budgets and business planningCollaborate across global teams to align sourcing strategies and ensure consistent executionProcess & Continuous ImprovementEstablish and continuously improve strategic sourcing processes, tools, metrics, and reportingUse data and market intelligence to identify sourcing opportunities and make informed business decisionsEnsure sourcing activities comply with company policies, quality requirements, and applicable regulatory standardsDrive continuous improvement in sourcing effectiveness, supplier performance, and overall procurement capabilitiesWhat You BringRequired8+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or related supply chain functionsSignificant experience managing direct materials in a manufacturing, technology, hardware, electronics, industrial, aerospace, medical device, or similar environmentDemonstrated experience developing and executing strategic sourcing strategies and delivering measurable cost savingsExperience leading negotiations, supplier agreements, supplier performance initiatives, and supply-risk mitigation2+ years of experience leading, managing, or developing sourcing/procurement professionalsStrong understanding of supplier management, total cost of ownership, cost analysis, and strategic negotiationsWhat You Will Be Part OfCompany Overview - https://www.stratasys.com/en/about-us/history/Our Culture and Values - https://www.stratasys.com/en/about-us/culture/Our Sustainability “3D Printing a Better Tomorrow” - https://www.stratasys.com/en/about-us/sustainability/Our Locations - https://www.stratasys.com/en/contact-us/office-locations/Check out our Video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wmDfmt2bNIAdditional InformationAt Stratasys we have designed a comprehensive Total Rewards program that goes beyond the basics and supports our People First strategy. When you join Stratasys, you’ll gain access to benefits and perks that will support you and your family both inside and outside of work.For this position, the typical annual starting base salary is from $125,031 to $155,000, which does not include variable incentive pay. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
