We specialize in Innerwear, Lingerie, Shapewear, Swimwear, Activewear, Loungewear and related categories, along with Fabrics, Elastics, Bra Cups, Lingerie Accessories, Adhesive Tapes & Films, Garment Machinery and other raw materials.Our business involves working with multiple international suppliers and factories, particularly in China, and managing the complete movement of products from factory → international shipment → customs clearance → warehouse → inventory → customer delivery. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a highly organized and proactive professional who can take ownership of our Supply Chain & Operations function.The RoleWe are looking for a Manager – Supply Chain & Operations who can ensure that goods, documents, inventory and information move smoothly throughout the organization.This is not merely a documentation or logistics coordination position. We are looking for someone who can take ownership, build systems, lead people, solve problems and continuously improve operational efficiency.The person will work closely with our Buying & Sourcing, Merchandising, Accounts, International Suppliers, Freight Forwarders, CHA, Transporters, Warehouse and Customers.Key Responsibilities1. Import & Export OperationsManage complete Import-Export documentation and shipment processes.Coordinate with overseas suppliers for commercial invoices, packing lists and shipment documents.Review documentation before shipment to minimize customs and clearance issues.Coordinate with Freight Forwarders, Shipping Lines, Airlines, CHA and Transporters.Track shipments from supplier/factory until final delivery.Monitor ETD, ETA, customs clearance and delivery schedules.Maintain proper records of imports, shipments and related documentation.Ensure compliance with applicable import/export and customs requirements.Coordinate with Accounts for duties, freight and other shipment-related payments.2. Shipment Planning & CoordinationConsolidate shipments wherever commercially beneficial.Decide and coordinate shipment schedules based on order priorities.Monitor goods readiness across multiple suppliers and factories.Maintain shipment trackers with accurate real-time status.Identify potential delays before they become problems.Coordinate urgent air/courier shipments when genuinely required.Continuously work towards reducing freight, courier, storage, demurrage and other logistics costs.3. Warehousing & Inventory ManagementTake complete ownership of warehouse and inventory control.Responsibilities include:Goods inward and outward management.Stock receiving and verification.SKU-wise inventory management.Physical stock versus system stock reconciliation.Batch / Lot / Product identification wherever applicable.Proper storage and product organization.Stock movement records.Damaged / rejected / returned inventory management.Periodic physical stock audits.Slow-moving and non-moving inventory identification.Minimum / Reorder stock monitoring.Stock ageing analysis.Management should always have clear visibility of:What is in stock → What is incoming → What is committed → What is available → What needs replenishment.4. Customer Order & Dispatch ManagementCoordinate customer dispatches against confirmed orders.Ensure correct Product, Quantity, Packaging, Labeling and Documentation before dispatch.Coordinate with Merchandising and Accounts for dispatch approvals.Prepare and verify dispatch documents.Coordinate transporters and courier companies.Track deliveries until Proof of Delivery.Maintain pending dispatch reports.Ensure urgent customer requirements are appropriately prioritized.Prevent incorrect, incomplete or unauthorized dispatches.5. Cost ControlA major responsibility of this role will be to protect the profitability of every order.The candidate should actively monitor and reduce:Unnecessary courier expenses.Excess freight costs.Repacking expenses.Storage and demurrage charges.Incorrect transportation planning.Duplicate shipments.Documentation errors.Inventory losses.Wrong dispatches.Operational wastage.The objective should be:Right Product → Right Quantity → Right Documentation → Right Cost → Right Place → Right Time.6. Systems, ERP & MISINTICEDE is increasingly moving towards technology-driven operations.The candidate should be comfortable working with:ERP systems.Inventory Management Systems.Advanced Excel / Google Sheets.Dashboards and MIS.Cloud-based documentation.Order and shipment trackers.The candidate will also be expected to support implementation and effective usage of ERPNext and other technology/automation systems within the Operations Department.A candidate with a Computer / IT background or strong understanding of technology, AI and automation will have an added advantage.7. MIS & Management ReportingThe Operations Manager should ensure management does not have to repeatedly ask the team for status updates.Regular reports/dashboard should provide visibility into:Orders under production.Goods ready for shipment.Upcoming shipments.Shipment ETD / ETA.Customs clearance status.Goods awaiting dispatch.Customer deliveries.Current inventory.Low-stock products.Slow-moving inventory.Pending documents.Operational issues requiring management attention.Logistics and freight costs.8. Team Management & LeadershipThe person should be capable of managing and developing an Operations Team.Responsibilities will include:Allocating responsibilities.Setting priorities.Monitoring deadlines.Creating SOPs and checklists.Reviewing team performance.Improving accountability.Coordinating between departments.Training junior team members.Escalating critical issues to management in advance.We are particularly looking for someone who takes responsibility rather than merely follows up.What We Are Looking ForThe ideal candidate should have:Experience in Supply Chain / Operations / Import-Export / Logistics / Warehousing.Strong knowledge of Import-Export documentation.Experience coordinating with CHA, freight forwarders, transporters and warehouses.Good understanding of inventory and stock management.Strong planning and organizational abilities.Exceptional communication skills.Strong management and leadership capabilities.Ability to handle multiple orders and shipments simultaneously.Excellent follow-up and problem-solving abilities.High attention to detail.Commercial understanding and cost consciousness.Ability to work under timelines and manage priorities independently.Strong computer skills.Good knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets.Willingness to learn and implement ERP, AI and automation tools.Candidates with an IT / Computer background or strong technology orientation will have an added advantage.Experience with buying houses, sourcing companies, garment/textile companies, trading companies, importers or international supply-chain organizations would be particularly relevant.The Person We WantWe are looking for someone who believes:“Operations is not about following up after a problem occurs.
