About KPMG's Energy & Natural Resources Transaction Services TeamOur Energy & Natural Resources Transaction Services team in the UAE advises sovereign wealth funds, private equity and infrastructure investors, national oil companies, utilities and international corporates on the transactions reshaping the region’s energy sector — upstream portfolio recycling, midstream and infrastructure monetization, LNG capacity expansion, power and water concessions, and the capital now moving into energy transition, renewables and decarbonization assets.About the RoleLead end-to-end execution of buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements: planning, scoping, data management, analysis, reporting and client presentation.Own the report — its structure, its argument, and the quality of what reaches the client.Direct the analysis of quality of earnings, normalized EBITDA, net debt, working capital and cash flow generation, and determine what constitutes a genuine adjustment.Identify and prioritize the transaction issues that move valuation, pricing, structure, financing or post-deal integration — and communicate them plainly.Review management forecasts, business plans and models; challenge assumptions and quantify the sensitivities that matter to the investment decision.Lead management meetings, diligence sessions, data request discussions and report debriefs with clients, targets, investors and lenders.Present findings and deal considerations to senior management, investment committees and boards.Manage multiple concurrent engagements to time, budget and quality — leading engagement teams, allocating resource across workstreams, and owning project economics including scope, billing, collections and profitability.Coordinate valuation, tax, strategy, operational and ESG specialists into a single integrated view for the client.Coach and develop junior team members, set clear expectations and give direct, usable feedback.Contribute to proposals, scoping conversations and client pursuits.Escalate significant risks and commercial matters to Directors and Partners early, and uphold the firm’s risk management, independence and quality control requirements.Energy & Natural Resources FocusDemonstrated transaction experience across one or more of: oil & gas (upstream, midstream, downstream), petrochemicals, power & water, renewables, mining & metals, and related industrial infrastructure.Working command of how sector value drivers behave in diligence — reserve and resource-based assets, decline curves and lifting
